Menards has sold us carpet full of flaws and so far has done nothing! Carpet Craft has also done nothing. We have had the carpet 5 weeks. We complained the same day it was installed.

Even the installer said the carpet was badly flawed. I want a full refund. Also to warn others about Menards and Carpet Craft of Dalton Ga.

Menards has something called an installed complaint form, which you can obtain at the service counter. These are used obviously when material is installed, and logically cannot be brought back for a refund/exchange. This should have been a no-brainer for the employees to tell you about this!!

After reading  the comment about the carpet, and suggesting that once it is installed, "what do you expect the store to do about it".  If a product is not right...it isn't right. That comes to the carpet warrenty or life. If it has a ten year life expectency that will cost more than one with a five year warrenty. With no wear on the carpet, if it is defective, it is defective. The same goes with anything. that is less than perfect. If I bought tires for a car, had them installed, and they were out of round, no matter if they were mounted and ballanced, a person that values their customers will refund your money, or replace the tires....or anything for that matter.  For the fellow that beleives that even if a product is defective after it is installed is the buyers problem....that consumer is a retailer's dream. I have spent the last couple of hours reading comments about Menards. I would like to thank everyone for sharing their experiences, and let them know their struggles have not been in vein. I will not be a consumer from Menards, or any retailer that gets so many negative reviews. Thanks again, Mansfield Ohio

Hard to believe...

I have had many carpets installed in my day, and I have a hard time believing that any respectable installer would actually go through an installation of a product as bad as you say it is.

If, in fact, it was that bad, most likely the installer would have refused to install it because of liability issues on his end (i.e. he could be blamed for the poor condition of the carpet after installation).

As far as Menards goes, once you have the carpet installed, what can they do? Ask you to rip it out and return it?
