You should actually get the facts before spouting your jibberish!
Merchant's Credit Guide Co is a JUNK DEBT BUYER and represents other JUNK DEBT BUYERS and the "debts" they are attempting to collect on are MOSTLY beyond statute of limitations and are LEGALLY UNCOLLECTABLE.
Do you understand Statute of Limitations?
Do you understand LEGALLY UNCOLLECTABLE?
How is that not a scam?
They use intimidation and harassment to collect on something they are not legally entitled to.
To any reasonable and educated person [not a debt collector] that would indicate a SCAM.
You need to get an education, and a grip on reality!

There're are countless reports here of people claiming to have been ripped off...or having had letters fromt this company that were attempting to scam them. Here's the horrible truth people. You are talking to debt collectors that are dealing with accounts that you failed to pay, or disputed long ago, and simply forgot about, or lied about it so much, you actually forced your mind to believe that it never existed. It isn't a scam, you ask these collectors to tell you specific details about your old (most likely charged off) account, but they aren't the original creditor, they are probably the 5-15th debt collector to try and track you down over the years, and usually only have your name, original account number, amount, date of incursion, and the original creditors info, there is, though rare, also some more detailed i.d info for yourself such as s.s.#'s credit reports, asset investigations, and so on, that they can use to verify it is you.
Once you are id'ed, there is no questioning wheather you owe it or not, it's just whether you want to resolve it before it ends up costing you more in the future. And no, there are no statutes of limitation on monies owed. Whoever is the due the money can chase you down and harrass you until the day you die, and they will find you, they will not stop, because they don't have to...and there are too many people out there who eventually do see the merit of making good on an defaulted agreement, even from over 15 years ago, as little as $40. It's what keeps companies like this one in business.
So the bottom line is, NO, IT IS NOT A SCAM, stop trying to create your own little circus where everyone can make believe that you are all victims, just caught in a major scam operation! Don't you think that this place would have been shut down by now had it made it's money by scamming people like you??? Pay your bills, and you won't have to run around trying to drum a bunch of alike thinking delusional people thinking that some company just arbitrarily pulled you out of a hat and decided to get a student loan, or a credit card started up for you just for the fun of calling you 6 years later??!
Tired...night all
