The extimaes i got was for a Knock sensor and installation and NOT a 105 dollar engine diagnosis because i didn't need one. (All of this was done to get the best price comparison shopping and merchants gave me the best price)
When they started and without my knowledge they did a engine diagnosis which i asked them not to do since i already had one done by a professional business. THEY DID ONE ANYWAY and charged me the 105 dollars plus all the other estimated prices.
The store told me if i When i called to coMPLAIN I HAD TO CALL THE 8779083718 NUMBER but WHEN I DID NO ONE CALLED ME BACK.
I'm still trying to get my 105.00 dollars back...................
With all the other repair shops out there i would think Merchant might be nice to customers as there's better shops out there.

POSTED: Thursday, February 23, 2012Unclear why you even paid at ALL if you clearly did not sign to have the diagnostics done. I would have only paid for the service "I" agreed to originally. They make 95% profit off there so called Computer generated testing anyways. The Machine cost then around 500 to 1 k and they already made hand over foot the first few suckers ( errm ummm I mean valuable and precious consumers) who did pay for that device....
If they would have put up a fuss....I would have found away to get it taken off the billing. They should be more worried about their reputation then a few bucks....
Call or stop in to speak with their manager and see if they can't bring you back to a level of satisfaction. You do deserve to be treated and have your terms met. Good luck and thank you for sharing this to bring awareness from your experience.
