After three months of not receiving a statement *( they blamed the post office), I paid my card off completely including late fees and closed my account. I stopped receiving statements monthly once I refused to pay for a new credit card after the one I had stopped working. I still incurred late fees if I missed the payment date. I would have NEVER missed a payment, if I would have received a statement. I never once received a call, a letter, or an email from them, just late fees on my account. Every time I called and asked for emailed statements, I was told I should be receiving them and if not I should consult with my internet provider. When I complained I did not receive any mailed statements, I was told to complain to the post office... When I asked about waiving the late fees, I was told it is not their policy regardless of the issue. They have now lost me and my friends and family as customers for life. Funny enough, the most I owed was 740 dollars, including late fees.

Merricks late fee scam!

Hinesight , yes , youre right...only MERRICK was setting there own dates..to suit Them and not me the consumer..auto payment was setup on the day THEY chose...and credited my account on THEIR chosen date...so that it would trigger My account LATE!

Did not catch this early enough..paperless to merrick means..NO STATEMENTS! I had to call to get any information  on my account. Which was NEVER right! There jusf NOT a worthy company..I know that there in it for money ...the whole world runs like that! I just wish that they were mkre honest!

They are doing the exact same thing to my account.. Auto pay is set up. ( by them) on the 16 th of each month They wait until the 17th to credit the account...?? Why? Well , sos that the accohnt will have late payment every month. L ate payments added to balance equals higher interest charges! Plus other unexplained charges to account.

That all you had to do was go onto their site, and you would have instant access to your statements several months back and the ability to make a payment.
