On January 22, 2014 I walked into a Metro PCS aurthorized dealer (AKA DF Wireless) in Bellflower to purchase earpods for my smartphone. I asked how much they cost and the sales man said $25. I look surprised because that sounded quite expensive for a pair of earpods. He said that the reason it was so much is because "they are the new iPhone 5's". I usually pay about $20 online for the same ones. I figured $5 dollars to not wait for shipping was not the worst amount to spend. He runs my card for 28.25. I ask why so much, he said because there is a $1 dollar fee for using debit. This was becoming a higher bill than expected. He runs the card and tells me it didn't go thru. So I said well I don't know if I should buy it, that's $8 more than I would spend. He then tells me he will run it again without the fee. I said fine.

When I got home I opened my earpods packaging to see that they were junk. The wire was pinched so hard that the audio cut in and out. They were no where near the iPhone 5 earpods he said they were. They were a complete knock off that I can get for $3 on Amazon. I felt ripped off. On top of that, it turns out he ran my card twice for both amounts. I didn't notice it on my bank's activities till later that night. I went back to the store the very next day to get a refund. The girl there told me that she cannot give me refund. She stated that per their store policy I had to wait 4 days for the bank to file a claim against them then the company would get notified and untill then I would be refunded. I brought her a copy of my bank's activity to show the double charge. I said I just wanted my $28.25 that was charged on my account incorrectly back. She said they don't give refunds and I had to wait for a claim to be filed. She said that their machine does it a lot to their customers and everyone has to wait for a claim to be filed to get a refund. She said their machine doesn't work properly and is constantly double charging customers but that they don't give refunds. I asked her if she didn't see anything wrong with that. She said "I don't think anything (while shrugging her shoulders), it's not me who did it". I thanked her for her not being able to help at all, she laughed and said "your welcome". 

I called my bank to let them know that there was a purchase made on my account that I did not authorize. But because the amounts were different I had to prove that I did not make two seperate purchases. The bank claims that if it had been a douplicate charge, it should have been the same amount twice. After clearing the matter and providing proof, the bank credited my account. The bank will have to file a claim against DF Wireless to be reimbursed.

I was on the phone for over an hour trying to clear this up. The fact that this Metro PCS authorized dealer is frequently double charging customers then turns around and refuses a refund to correct their error is absolutely appaling. I had an extra $28 dollars taken out of my account without my authorization that I did not have access to for days. If this is a frequent occurence by this store, something has to be done. I cannot believe that they take money out of people's accounts and simply shrug their shoulders and say "we can't give you your money back". I have never dealt with such a rude and unprofessional employee as this female.
