     On Friday (09/09/11) morning I went into, what I thought was, a Metro PCS dealer. In actuality, it was an authorized dealer.  I went in for the $29.99 deal on the Kyocera Turino and the $40 a month plan. The salesperson, Leydi, began to tell me a host of lies. I asked  her for the special and she told me the deal was over. She said the phone was only $29.99 if you were purchasing a second line. I told her that I was trying to get the best deal, since I am a single mother and I lost my job. I needed a phone, so I decided to go with Metro PCS.
     Leydi, told me that the deal I was looking for would have included the activation fee, so the amount that I would pay without the deal would have been about the same as the deal itself. She charged me $59.99 for the Kyocera Turino and the entire transaction costed me $110. She said she was not charging me for tax. After I signed up, I asked her to transfer my numbers from m old phone to the new phone and she said the machines license had expired. Later on that day, at around 4:30 pm, I received a text message telling me that a change had been made on my plan and I was now at the $45 a month plan. I immediately called customer service. They told me the change was made and I asked who made the change. The customer service rep said it must have been someone at the store. I should have been the only one making changes on my account. his was a fraudulent action. I called the store and there was no answer. I left a message. No one called back.
     The next morning (09/10/11)I called some Metro PCS stores, some were authorized dealers and some were actual Metro PCS stores. ALL of them told me that the prices that Leydi charged me were, indeed, fraudulent. The authorized dealers and the regular, corporate-owned stores cited the exact same deal at the exact same prices and ALL of them said the salesperson at this store was a liar. Naturally, I was upset. This person had lied to me after I explained to her my situation. She stole from me and my daughter. I went to the store and she said that since I used the phone for more than  60 minutes, I could not return. Funny how she went by the letter on that part of the contract, but she was a blatant liar and a cheat...doesnt that make the contract null and void? I never signed the contract. When I asked for the deal, at the point she should have provided full and fair disclosure and informed me that their deal is different from the corporate owned stores, so that I could  make an informed decision to make my purchase elsewhere. But she did not do that.  She refused to give me my money back, refuse to allow me to speak to the manager, or the owner.  
     She claimed that she was saving me the activation fee. Metro PCS doesnt charge activation fees for new phones. A $29.99 phone should not have been charged for twice the price. My plan should not have been changed without my permission. I was charged $110 for a transaction that should have cost around $83.00. I called another Metro PCS and the manager said that particular store is known for charging customers, at least, $30 more than everyone else. They are preying on the people of Parkchester and the surrounding areas.
     What Leydi did was wrong. If this is what authorized dealers do then why did the other authorized dealers have the same promotion going on? This store needs to be investigated and Leydi and her partner (the Indian salesperson, who tried to jump in and defend her, knowing that her sales practices are fraudulent) need to have their sales looked at as well.
     I am seeking a resolution. I would like the difference returned to me and my daughter.

 Today is Monday, September 12th 2011. Less than 24 hours ago I sent an email regarding unfair sales practices of an authorized dealer and I have the honor of saying that the situation is already rectified. Ms. Martinez and Metro PCS are the epitome of professionalism and efficiency. She immediately understood my issue and sought to provide a resolution. It has taken me a while to finally try Metro PCS. After dealing with that authorized dealer, I was beginning to regret my decision. After seeing how quick of a response I received and the help I received from Ms. Martinez, I am a fan, as opposed to 2 days ago. I will definitely recommend Metro PCS to others. I have only been with Metro since 09/09/2011 and I have already been treated like a valued client. More importantly, I was treated with respect.
    
Ms. Martinez and Metro PCS' integrity and professional attitude has helped more than they realize.
