Mexicana/ American Airlines Mexicana closed the boarding gate 1 1/2 hour before flight Had to purchase new ticket Cancun Mexico
We arrived 1 1/2 hour before our flight and they told us the boarding gate was closed? We had to purchase a new ticket in order to retun to the US.
We asked for the next flight out, the gal first lied and said it was the next day. Then she told us she had a flight for 2:30pm, we said great we will take it. She could only get one boarding pass to print, and after wasting so much time we missed that flight. the next flight was at 6:30pm. We said yes, again and asked her to refund the first flight and purchase the second flight. She never did refund the flight, I guess the price is all the same? Our original flight was $315.00 round trip, they charged us $476.00 for a one way flight to the US. Our flight was from Cancun to Mexico City, 1 hour lay over, then to Las Vegas and the red eye to Minnesota. It was a nightmare to be told that we could not board our flight home. The Mexicana employees were very rude about the whole situation. They seemed to find "joy" in ripping off American passenagers. I will never Travel to Mexico again.
