Michel Combes is a mentally sick man in terrible psychological condition exhibiting mania, exuberant arrogance, need for constant control, relegating everything in life to attempting to achieve glory and fame both commercially and politically. He doesn't think twice before impregnating a woman he has known many years, denying it could be his, refusing to take a paternity test because he was in another relationship (and cheated on the current companion). Facing maternity on her own, as Combes refused to contact her for two months, her intestine, under the tremendous stress, become so severely infected that it required 2/3 removal; she subsequently lost 25 pounds and can barely digest food. He conceals keys, passports, in order to entrap people that want to "escape" his psychosis. He gravitates between delusiobal exhuberance and becomes desperate, out of control and theater quality dramatic when he doesn't get what he wants. The secret is the guy actually is no Genius at all. Once he is finished using his political connections to fire a third of the work-force rather than take on projects and minimize the impact on one of the world's most important companies, he takes the easy route, fires people, and only then will it become evident that he is a fraud.
