Midland Mortgage Company ruined my life and left me humiliated. After falling behind on payments I applied for a short sale. Midland Mortgage gave me the run around constantlly asking for more paperwork and then claiming they never received them. I was still living on the premises when midland mortgage locked me out of my home by changing my locks. Then my personal property and valuables were stolen by the company midland mortgage hired to change the locks. I called midland mortgage several times about this to no avail, they cannot provide answers as to what has happen to my personal property and why they chose to lock me out of my home. They are the worst company I have ever encountered and need to be investigated by the government and the better business bureau. They are in the business of stealing homes and not offering any real solutions to help homeowners who are struggling.
Someone need to INVESTIGATE! MIDLAND MORTGAGE IS HEARTLESS AND DO NOT CARE ABOUT PEOPLE ONLY MONEY.

Search Tipsand work with the homeowners to keep their homes and thereby saving themselves a lot of money and time.Common sense tells me that most people work hard to buy a home and often struggle to make the house payments. no one wants to lose their home.Everyone loses when a house is foreclosed
the mortgage co loses payments, the home owner loses his home and all the money he has invested in the home, the neighborhood suffers
because of a vacant house.the only one to gain is the criminal who breaks in the house and steals
whatever he can get to sell fast and cheap.I am not a business person but common sense tells me
that if I work with people we both will benefit as an end result and I would have the satisfaction of knowing I had helped someone and hopefully when/if I ever need help someone would be there to offer me a helping hand.

Because of that, I send all my payments Certified Mail/Return Receipt requested. They do not allow payments over the phone, and will post your payment 8 days late. In my case an 8 day late payment will cost me 80.00 in interest alone. The are lazy in posting payment, say they never got a payment or anything that they can charge a fee on.
When Wells Fargo turned my account over to Midland, WF failed to post a payment over 18 months ago. When we caught the error, WF said they could not do anything because the note had been transferred to Midland. I am waiting to defend myself with Midland cause I know its coming.
My suggestion to anyone working with Midland is to do everything by Certified Mail/Return Receipt Requested. In the letter contest any problems with the account. Make the requests as specific as possible and under no circumstances hold a payment. They will stall and then say they never received anything from you. Good Luck and God Bless

I understand completely that falling behind on my payments is not the responsibility of the mortgage company. I reached out to the mortgage company several times when I realized I was in jeopardy of not being able to keep up with my payments. The mortgage company stated they could not help me at the time as I was current on my payments. Once I fell behind the mortgage company stated I had to continue living on the premises before they could consider any type of program that woul help me. It was a surprise to me when they locked me out as they knew I was still living there and did not notify me. All this time I was communicating with the mortgage company and submitting paperwork they requested but they failed to tell me they were taking possession of the property. Trust me, I am not asking to live for free. I realize that if I don't pay I have to leave. I would have left months ago but at the mortgage companies request I had to stay on the premises to get any kind of help.
For those who responded to my report, it is quite easy to judge. I would not have complained if I did not have legitimate reason to. The mortgage company has the right to take the house but no right to take possession/steal my personal property. SHAME ON ME FOR LOSING MY JOB! SHAME ON ME FOR HAVING A CHILD WITH A CHRONIC ILLNESS AND MOUNTING MEDICAL BILLS! SHAME ON ME FOR HAVING MULTIPLE COLLEGE DEGREES AND CAN'T FIND A DECENT PAYING JOB! I am not asking for anyone's sympathy, I just need to have my personal belongings return to me. Communication from the mortgage company would also be helpful. Voicing my concerns is what makes America a great country. I certainly I am not looking for "free" or "squatting"' on anyone. I have paid my dues like all Americans, working since I was a teenager. I have achieved more than some "Americans" being an immigrant to this country. Some mortgage company companies prey on people who are in difficult situations and Midland Mortgage is one of them. #$$!!&&& the investors, they prey on people's weaknesses to make money, that's why the economy is such a mess!!!!

It stopped being your home after you failed to pay the payments. You owe them money. You can take them to court to try to get your things back.
It is not the responsibility of the lender to find a solution for you to pay them back.
People are getting dumber every day.
