I am a contractor who was helping a friend out with some Hail Damage to thier roof. I met with Farm Bureau who was excellent, they agreed on damages and price and sent a check to the Homeowner.
Unfortunately they sent it made out to HO and Midland Mortgage. We followed the guidlines set by Midland Mortgage and the kept stalling. They wanted us to endorse check and then send it to them BUT even thier own paperwork said not to if claim was under 10K and HO was current.
All work has been completed since May 2012. All document have been to Midland since May. They kept telling us "we are processing the check" "should take bus days". Well still nothing. They stalled so long the check from the insurance company was not longer good. So they sent it back for us to get a new one issued. We did and then they asked for all paperwork again, we even did that. They THEN EVEN sent out an inspector the beginning of June to make sure work was complete. We still have not check back yet.
Every call is a stall tactic. I have caught them in numerous attempts to try and get HO to sign and send check to them. Just a constant run around for no reason what so ever. I have gotten a supervisor to the phone and just said "Uncle, I Give" what other hoop can I jump through for you. I have seen others in the same situation.
