I began my the process of purchasing my 2013 Chevy ZL1 Convertible back in August of 2012 on cars.com. I came across Midway-Chevrolet's ad for the vehicle in the color & trim that I had desired. I then contacted the dealership & spoke with internet salesman Vince Murray who I negotiated terms with that include that the vehicle would have a "exposed carbon fiber weave hood insert" & would be delivered to me in Las Vegas NV for $600. I was then notified by Vince after my downpayment was made & all financial paperwork was signed that the vehicle was delivered to them from General Motors and didn't have the upgraded hood insert that Vince had told me that it was going to contain. And I was then contacted by the financial lender "TD Auto-Finance" concerning my signing up for their Auto-debit plan. TD indicated to me that their was a strong possibility that Midway's financial manager (Eric Lard) that I was dealing with was iattempting to illegally sign me up for "SmartPay" which is a 3rd party service that the dealership uses to charge consumers a fee out the back end of their deal. ..... When I attempted to contact Mr. Lard he text me to "Fuck Off"!! I then contacted Midway-Chevrolet to report Mr. Lard's unethical behavior & was told that he no longer was employed at the dealership & was terminated. So I then became infuriated that I was not told by my salesman Vince that Eric was no longer handling my financial agreement. I was then. Contacted by Midway's Internet Sales director Jeff Tellman who indicated to me that the hood insert that I wanted on the vehicle was on "Restriction" by General Motors & that it would be delivered to me at a later time after they would deliver the vehicle (approx 6-8 weeks). Then we began debating over the delivery fees that I would pay. Because I strongly feel that I should only pay Midway half the delivery fee if they aren't delivering the vehicle as ordered. I would then agree to pay the full remainder of the delivery fee once the upgraded hood insert was delivered & installed. Jeff Tellman became angry & delayed the delivery of my vehicle because of this situation. When I finally was delivered the vehicle (7 days before 1st payment was due), the vehicle had been delivered to me with quite visible damage to one of the wheels & had been notated by the 3rd party driver. There was also some scraping damage on the left of the vehicle next to the headlight. I then left messages for Jeff Tellman which weren't returned & I then was forced to contact General Motors to help with the situation. As of now General Motors is still trying to help solve the dealerships problem as they're claiming no responsibility, however I will not let them off on these charges!!
