Hello merchant and business owner. I would not suggest not doing business with this typical merchant provider. Hopefully you have done some due diligence and have found this post. As you are considering signing a contract with this company you should realize a number of factors.
1. they charge a cancellation fee of $500
2. they will charge it after your contract expires
3. they also have de conversion fee's that will make leaving about $1000 or more
I am a business owner and signed up with Midwest Merchant Services, I asked for a one year contract and the owner signed an agreed. However after 2 weeks of my one year agreement expiring I found a provider that would save me quite a bit of money and they have honored their word. Midwest Merchant Services then told me I was in a 3 year contract and took me to court. If you wish for a similar fate and loss of time, energy and money then call them. They promised the world, raised my rates after several months into the contract and then held me financially hostage to doing business with them.
I would recommend as a business owner that you do not do business with this company, instead I would suggest companies that don't have cancellation fee's and don't have terms of length to their contracts. I made a mistake and this company took me to the farm, during my time with them as well as after the fact when I legally left after my agreement. If you are currently with this company it would adventitious to look at other options and give them a call and find out how much it will cost you to leave. I guessing that if enough merchants rise up and speak out about this company they will not be able to operate and practice business in this manner anymore.
I hope to save other business owners the trouble I have gone through by making a mistake with this provider Midwest Merchant Services. They are located in Lenexa, KS and also go by the name Elite Merchant Solutions.
