I left a picture with my phone number at their office, then they called me in for an interview, then they acted strange when I walked in the door and asked who had called me, I told the lady it was her who had called me, I recognized her voice and remembered her name. There are only 2-4 people who worked there and I remembered exactly who had called. Then she started acting strange and cocking her head to the side and pulling at her spikey way-to-short bald head and wrinkled crows feet face saying how her boyfriend told her to grow her hair out and this issue she was having at home with her boyfriend. That had absolutely nothing to do with the conversation and she was unprofessional, laughing, jerking around like she had tripped out on acid. Then she just kept pretending she didn't know who had called me. I was about ready to yell at her and tell her I knew that she was lying, but I just turned around and left. They have gotten no one jobs in the years they have been in their crappy, small, trashy office.
I am extremely pretty, thin, tall and look better than most people in all of Stark County. Every time I go out, business professionals and older laides just stare at me and ask if I am a model, girls are jealous of me and guys want to use me for sex, neither of which succeeds in getting anything from me. Just a few more contacts and I will be famous and wealthy, and then when these tacky pigs from Midwest Models come begging at my feet or trying to speak to me in a grocery store, I will ignore them and leave nothing but the thoughts of a Broadway musical in their head. Then, they will remember my name, Fame.

is better than another from prior rantings threaded to this posting? And to the originator of this post I sense your assuming quite a bit based on your lack of factual knowledge.
I feel you got your crayolas broke and taking the conversation so far out of text that by the end of your rambling it is all about you and how pretty you are and how famous you will be. Grow up, get to the point of your complaint, and be a professional! Anyways, just corresponding to let everyone know that this company is aces and for unfortunates that think they are a front, don't worry. The company is hosting a first annual bridal show in
February 2010 on the 28th. Guess what? They are going to have models too, lol. The show will be at the Holiday Inn-Cleveland South-Independence location in the ballroom.
I hope to see all the models that will be upcoming brides there! Oops now the cat is out of the bag. Good day to all!

Midwest Models is a SCAM, people.

Midwest Models contacted me through exploretalent.com. (exploretalent is another scam, and no I DON'T pay exploretalent, I signed up a long time ago just as a free member - I signed up for the 7 day trial period and they never charged my card or shut off the submission function and my card never got charged but oh well..)
He was replying about my interest in a casting audition... He told me he was a runway coach FROM MIDWEST MODELS. He told me it would be beneficial for me to go, etc. He dropped alot of names like Fashion Bug TJ Maxx etc... All he stated about those companies is that they are real companies that sell clothes not porn... Well DUH - but that doesn't tell me anything about this modeling job...
The IMMEDIATE response made it seem fishy to me... Showbiz is just not that easy.
First - www.modelscams.com - states clearly coaching, training, classes, or schools IS COMPLETELY UNNCESSARY in becoming a model. Alot of reputable agencies and models have written articles on that site.
Second - I'm 5'2"... why would a runway coach be interested in speaking with me ??
Third - He would not answer my question as to what he NEEDED the models for... I asked if you NEED MODELS... what do you NEED them for??? to model the clothes of all the names he dropped ??? He wouldn't answer.
Fourth - the 'CHICAGOLAND FASHION FAIR TOUR' as he called it was being held at Glamour Model agency in Chicago...
He clearly stated that Glamour had nothing to do with this event - they were only being kind in extending their facility to hold this supposed fashion event.
But in actuality I know that Glamour has a deal going with them ... An "agent" or "scout" from Glamour will approach an aspiring model and say "you are so beautiful - we could totally find you work .....IF......" and then the money talks begin !!!!!
Glamour is a known scam artist who profits off of photography... Not modeling commission !!!!!!!
Sincerely, Frances Cornett.

Midwest Model Management has made me money!!!
AUTHOR: Justine Plucinski - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Wednesday, November 19, 2008
I was contacted by Midwest Model Management in late October of 2007 by the new director and asked to renew my contract with the agency. After I agreed to renew my contract, the agency put me on their website for free and began representing me. In the first several months I was brought in for several auditions and since then booked several jobs. This year alone I have made close to $4,500 through print work, promotional jobs, and video and broadcast work. I will refrain from sharing the names of clients I have worked with, however if you visit the agency website (www.midwestmodelinc.com) you can see many of the models photos and tearsheets. The agents have have been nothing but helpful and always take time to speak with me if I stop in or call. Unfortunately I do not have much experience with the previous owners, but the experience I have had thus far has been nothing short of exceptional.
Best regards,
Justine Plucinski

It's important that you understand the facts of our business.
In October 2007, we purchased Midwest Model Management and moved it from Fulton Drive to Whipple Avenue in Canton.
We've changed the business model of the agency once we purchased the business to better serve our clients. Quite simply, we don't make revenue until our clients work.
I can't speak of your experiences with past ownership of the company, but understand that we're committed to serving our clients. You're entitled to your opinion, but we're a legitimate business.

'Communications Specialist' is NOT a Title of Someone Who Works With Modeling Agency! LOL! Nice Try

138 models? That's too many! No way can one agency market all of those girls, especially not in Ohio. An Ohio agency, not that one actually exists, should only have about 17-20 girls or guys total. Even in the acting/modeling capital of the world, New York and LA, they only have about 60-80 per agency, and those are the huge, million dollar one's so how on Earth can these small town corn-farm Ohio 'agencies' claim to suppport that many when even in New York they don't have that many jobs? Siggghhhh, it's so easy baby-sitting these scam artists because their lies never add up, I do this to help the girls because I know that this could happen to my daughter.
As far as the girl having an attitude, no one is going to be positive when someone has ripped them off or taken their money, you are supposed to have an attitude and stick up for yourself. If you are skinny and tall, then you are the best person for the job, why not admit it. It is modeling agencies themselves that think that some girls are better than others and only pick certain people. You animals are the one's that turn people away, not the girls. The agency is also small and tacky, why not admit it, if you don't want people to say these things, then get your business together. The truth hurts, as they say. You are the one's that think that some people are better than others, again, who is going to be positive about someone stealing their money or wasting their time, the answer, NO ONE! Go to college and get a real job instead of spending your whole life in a run down county going no where and working at a fake job. Isn't Akron U about 15 mins up the road from your silly organization? Go and better yourself for once. Sad.

However, we can say we're excited about what we've done since that time.
We currently have 185 models, 135 of them are new since we bought the company. Many of our models have been already booked in local print advertisements and television commercials.
