SEO Reputation Management at its best!

On April 17th, I ordered a course online called MLM Traffic Formula (MLMTrafficFormula.com) that's being marketed by Mike Dillard and his company Live Five Star Marketing, LTD.

The course offers two options for payment, but offers an "unconditionla, no-questions-asked, 30 day money-back guarantee".

I ordered the "2-payment plan" option, in which they would charge $267 on the day I ordered and $267 30 days later.

So I paid for it on April 17th, they shipped it on April 18th and it arrived on my door on April 20th.

I read through most of the course as well as listened to most of the CD's only to discover that many of the techniques can not be implemented by a newbie. I would have to pay many hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars to hire outside programmer to create my sites according to their guidelines and specifications.

So after keeping the course around 25 days (remember, I recieved it on the 20th) I returned it on the 16th of May.

Also, please keep in mind that their website specifically says, "P.S. I want to personally promise you that MLM Traffic Formula will completely surpass all of your expectations. If it doesn't, just send it back to my office within 30 days, for a no-questions-asked refund. You have nothing to risk, and very little time left to take advantage of this amazing opportunity."

Notice that it says to "send it back to my office within 30 days", it DOES NOT say that it needs to be back in the office within 30 days. See the difference.

I did just as the sales page said. I sent it back before the 30 days were up.

So I contacted them regarding their guarantee and asked to not charge my card that second charge and to refund the first one.

The next day, on May 17, they charged my card $267 again.

After several emails, they finally emailed me today (May 22) and told me the following:

====== Email Received ===============

From: "Lindsay"
To: "'Jaime XXXXXX'"
Subject: RE: Traffic Formula Order
Date: Tue, 22 May 2007 15:43:44 -0700

Hi Jaime,

Traffic Formula returns must be received before
30 day trial is over. It is unfortunate that your 30
day has expired. The 30 day was on 05-17-2007, we did
not receive until 05-18-2007. At this time we will not
be able to issue a refund.

Sincerely,
Lindsay
Mike Dillard Customer Service
Please include all previous messages when replying.
Have a nice day!

========== End Email ===========

As you can imagine, I'm really pissed right now. I didn't keep the course for 30 days and yet they have the nerve to tell me that I kept it ONE DAY LONGER than the "30 day" trial offered.

This is a matter of ethics and one that should be addressed.

I want Mike to refund me and keep his word. Giving a "30 day trial" and starting that trial the moment the customer pays instead of the moment the customer receives it is not really giving "30 days"... is it?

And as I showed you before, their sales letter says to simply "send it back" within the 30 days. And I did just as they asked. I physically dropped it at the Post Office and "Sent it back" 29 days after I placed the order.

If their sales letter said, "make sure it's back in my office within 30 days", then it would have been different. But that's not the case.

Please understand that I hate to bad-mouth Mike. I have the highest respect for him and thought of him as a person with high ethical and moral values. Now, I'm not too sure, but I'm still willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

So please, if anyone can help me with this, please help me.

Sincerely,

Jaime

Jamie, this mat help you in your quest for the refund you are trying to get back from Mike Dillard. I am not involved whatsoever with Mike D but I was having real problems with a product (s/ware) that was  grand and after 14 emails asking for my refund as the s/w never worked. I was well within my time but I got his merchant involved and so should you.

You have good grounds to serve notice on Mike D that his terms and conditions did not state that the product/s had to be in his hands in 30 days. I feel his merchant will look kindly on you and they will send your refund request to Mike D and if he still argues the toss just keep up the pressure on the merchant as I have it on very good authority that merchants want your biz and do not want to be involved with unscrupulous people.

I just wish you all the luck in the world as I was really sweating on the grand I can tell you.

Mike Dillard - Carbon Copy CRAP

AUTHOR: Stellaedmonds - (U.S.A.)

Mike Dillard sells a stable-full of marketing crapola to people in MLM.

As if people in the MLM industry weren't in enough trouble, Mikey has made it his mission to provide a series of upsells to people, with the Grand finale of having the "opportunity" to pay $20K+ to be in Mikes downline in Wealth Masters International.

It starts with a $40 ebook and CD {and the opportunity to become a reseller of his product} - then upsells into driving traffic and recruiting products (all necessary components to be successful!). Then a pitch to join him and Jay Kuba-sux in Carbon Copy Pro - then an upsell into Wealth Masters.

I got to see my best friend go through this process. I kept telling her that it was a joke, to start making some money before spending more...

These Rebuttals Are a Set Up

AUTHOR: Jason - (U.S.A.)

Having purchsed Mike Dillard and Ann Siegs courses I can say that they are not nearly as helpful as their ads make you believe. However if you think that it might help you, you might get a few good ideas though if you think that hundreds of thousands of people can all do the same thing (articles, YouTube, Twitter, etc.) without stepping on each others toes you need to think again.

My main point is that looking at these rebuttals it's obvious to me that these are setups or plants. One person above is actively promoting Ann Sieg as an affiliate and even lists the website! These people have a vested interest in rebutting any negative info. In fact members are taught that by posting in places like this, they will gain SEO points and even traffic - which they are led to believe will somehow translate into income.

Even the false complaint and retraction is a trick that Mike Dillard students have used all over the Internet. In a recent case they even faked a legal battle just to gain publicity (in Jerry Springer style) only to make up and work together in the end. So take everything with a grain of salt.

One thing for new customers to consider are claims made - research them because these guru's tell you to do one thing while they do another. In a recent email they claim their Social Networking tactics produce better results than Google AdWords ads. One needs to remember that Ann Sieg and Mike Dillard are tracked at spending almost $200,000 a month on AdWords and still have significant budgets there. One wonders what happened to the hundreds of thousands of people who bought their courses on how to make money using Google AdWords? Why the sudden about face in their talk - but not in their action?

This site is evidence that scams are plentiful. Don't take any marketing message at face value. Research any company or affiliate program, their history, credibility and what the real demand for the product/service is. Otherwise you'll likely end up in a pyramid scheme.

Mike Dillard Is NOT a scam artist... Just a smart businessman

AUTHOR: Former Magnetic Sponsoring User - (U.S.A.)

I am a former student of Mike Dillard's "Magnetic Sponsoring" and "Building On A Budget" and I have nothing but admiration for the man. He is basically considered the pioneer of Online MLM Lead Generation Technology... which has basically changed the may network marketers do business. His systems definitely do work... even if he definitely has the upper hand in the 'student / teacher' relationship. You basically market for him, build his list, and get paid commissions off of what he sells those leads. MLM systems have come a long way from what he offers, so I no longer use his technology... but his reputation is great because he's a man of his word. The industry owes a big "Thank You" to Mike Dillard.

I made over $128.00 USD within the first 48 hours by simply using Mike Dillar's Free Affiliate Back Office Leads System

AUTHOR: Thewellnesscompanydotorg - (U.S.A.)

From the desk of RicarteRivera.com

Dear Fellow Network Marketing Coaches,

Me and my girlfriend recently invested in Magnetic Sponsoring and MLM Traffic Formula. This happened after finding out that Mike Dillard, Ann Sieg, and DK's MLM Goldmine Attraction Marketing (i.e. Building on a Budget, Black Belt sponsoring scripts, and The Renegade Network Marketer) courses are being used to raise funds for the only cosmetology school in the richest zipcode around the world (Beverly Hills 90210). See proof here: http://www.beverlyhillsbeautyschool.com

If you've investigated these individuals, you should know that there is no way you cannot make money. Try at least one of the many free and simple tips of these Internet Network Marketing Masters. NOW, FREE, CHANGE YOUR MINDSET!

I had failed three times at MLM / Network Marketing companies. Now I'm so grateful and happy that the President of Melaleuca: The Wellness Company (Consumer Direct Marketing pioneer), decided to publish my proclamation: "I've Decided To Take This [Online] Business into Another Dimension." How powerful that statement and intention was. It helped me attract the easiest way to massive growth.

How sweet to know that me and my teams are ALL reaching the highest levels of Corporate and Presidential Directors as well as Diamonds.

Thanks you internet marketing leaders to each one of you for being a light house that help us use the law of attraction, or "the secret" to attracting the perfect customers and business partners.

To Your Success,

Mike made good on his guarantee and refunded me already...

AUTHOR: Jaime - (U.S.A.)

Hello,

The day that I filed this report at Ripoffreport.com, I also emailed "Lindsay", Mike's assistant, with a strong and threatening email.

The next day, Mike personally emailed me not to worry that he would go ahead and refund me the full amount of the course, which was $697.

He was also kind enough to note on the email that it was pretty "childish" of me to threaten a "legal battle" on the email since he'll always bend over backwards for his clients and make sure they're satisfied with his service.

A few hours later, I got an email from "Lindsay", his assistant, to tell me that she already processed the refunds for me according to Mike's instruction.

I waited a few days just to see if the money would go into my account, and sure enough, it appeared today, Saturday, May 26.

So the bottom line is...

Mike is a true man of integrity and I was a fool to be so quick to judge him.

I was a bigger fool to place this report here thinking that it would be a long and bitter fight.

So anyone reading this... please know that you can trust Mike Dillard.

Mike, if you read this... forgive me for my stupidity and childish actions... I should have known better. There's a reason why you have a spotless reputation and will always have it that way.

Don't think that this report tarnishes your name in any way... if anything, it will help people see that you're truly trustworthy.

I was the fool here and I'm forever humbled by this experience.

Sincerely,
