I have since returned everything to her and still can't get an answer. The only response I can get is her voicemail or a hangup. I will take this woman to court if I have to because I deserve to be paid for my time worked. Another thing shady about this woman is that she never had me fill out any sort of W-2 form or contractor agreement. She said that she could pay us in cash which would be better for us since she wouldn't take out taxes. After hearing this I called the Department of Labor since I knew it was illegal to pay people under the table.
They told me that I should take the situation to the IRS since it's a tax issue as well. If I have it my way, I will be paid for my time worked and hopefully this woman won't have a business to run a year from now. I don't want anyone else to get cheated out of wages or go through the situation I am because it already sounds like there were too many before me.
