My husband and I have bought approximately 8 vehicles from Mills Chevrolet, Moline, Illinois; however, due to the following we will never step foot back into their show room.

We leased a Chevrolet Trail Blazer from them and was very disappointed from the beginning after reading the fine print of the contract found that in three years we could buy that vehicle for $17,000.00 - now mind you, we will have paid on it for three years. Therefore, we called Rob, the finance person we always deal with and asked him what we could do. We did this last November, 2004. He said bring it in "we have a special buy back on leased vehicles".

So, we took it to mills, bought a 2004 Trail Blazer. We were told to sign the papers to release the leased vehicle and we were all set. Well, needless to say, they neglected everything about our paperwork and six (6)months after purchasing the new vehicle, we get a letter from GMAC telling us that we owe $1,900.00 to them for this vehicle because Mills did not pay this lease off. We signed off on that vehicle and I told them that it was up to Mills to pay them any more money as we signed that vehicle over to mills.

It did have a couple little dings in it but Rob told us that that should not create any problem. Then GMAC said we owed at lease one more payment on the vehicle and we were up-to-date when we turned the car in. It wasn't our fault that Mills chose to drag their feet and got past another payment date. Now this is going to be on our credit and their isn't anything we can do.

So my advise to everyone is to please check out your dealership so that you can enjoy that new car that you just bought. If you shop at Mills Chevrolet, shop at your own risk. Just a warning!

My name is Connie Bier and I would like to let everyone know that the complaint with myself and Mills Chevrolet has been resolved.  I wish to let Rip Off readers know that I do feel that Mills Chevrolet is a reputable car dealership and I would highly recommend them to everyone.  In saying that, I want you to know that I would definately purchase another vehicle from them due to the way they extend leadership to their customers.
