We just rejoined MiniVacations Inc/Global Getaways/Grand Getaways for the third year -- $275 Paid to MiniVacations out of Tampa FL on 11/16/2005 Have booked trips in the past with good results. Just booked a mediterranean cruise (Holland America) through MiniVacations. Have paid downpayment, but rec'd no confirmation or further information. Getting runaround when we try to call. All our agents at MiniVacations no longer work there. Calling gets us to "Travel Club" and "Grand Getaways" but no one has any information on us. Holland America can give us no information since we booked through MiniVacations, other than we are on the roster for the mediterranean cruise.

This entity ceased to exist in February of 2006. Grand Incentives stepped in to fulfill hundreds of customers travel vouchers that would have otherwise been useless. Our team contacted each customer, offering to exchange those products for ours including access to our prestigious travel club, Coast to Coast Grand Getaways. Our thousands of members enjoy significant discounts on travel through our full-service travel agency, personalized vacation planning and the convenience of our concierge division, Grand Excursions.

I purchased a Platinum Membership from Grand Getaways (Global Getaways, Inc)in Independance, OH in March 2003. I paid $2443 ($1995 membership fee, $299 administrative fee, $149 annual dues)and have renewed it yearly 2004-2005 ($149), 2005-2006 ($180). That's a total of $2,772 I have paid. I have never used it! I was just now going to use it, but it seems they are out of business!! What the hell is that? That doesn't seem legal to just shut down and not refund peoples' money or provide another means to use their product. I would love to hear any ideas you or anyone else has to try and resolve this.
