Model Talent Development in Hicksville, NY, apparently previously aka as New Faces, and now apparently having a new agency named Phaze2 in Queens, are ripoff artists, plain and simple. They have a hard, fast sell for digital photos anybody could take, showing you past composites of previous customers and the magazine ads they were in, and a "Thank You" binder with web printouts from 2008 and 2009. They don't tell you all the prices up front, such as the fact that putting your pictures on their website costs extra, along with other fees. Google their reviews, and don't fall for their scam!!! Our experience was exactly like many of those I googled -- recruiters at a mall, or in our case, Oyster Bay Festival; a recruiter calls for an appointment, with the promise of no cost, just an interview; waiting for an hour in the waiting room after the scheduled appointment time (amongst snooty, wannabe models manning the front desk when they're not bilking/recruiting customers); meeting with the recruiter who tells you they don't just take anybody, and our kids were exactly what they were looking for; leafing through ratty composites and well-worn magazines showing past customers who have been "placed" by them: and then a price sheet showing prices up to $2500 for the number of "looks" and "outfits" down to $500 for one look and outfit. They tell you they can make a deal, but not to tell anybody else in the waiting room. They then try to get your credit card, but only after do they tell you that there's a $550 fee for putting the pictures on their website -- gigacomps.com, and other fees such as a copyright fee of $45. Fortunately, we walked out before owing anything;. Do not get sucked in by these vultures.
