Just received my first invoice for maid service I requested over a year ago. Requested maid service for Dec 2010. Was quoted window of time for maid arrival, but they never came. Ended up leaving house and after arriving home in late evening, maids were there. After looking around, seemed like work had just begun. Called to complain about late arrival. After about an hour (10pm), maids left in a hurry with work not completed. Called to complain again. Was offered to schedule another date. Could not because had house guests arriving in the morning, which was the sole purpose of hiring maids. We talked about adjusting the bill, but was told somebody would have to check into it and call me back. I received a call back the next day and was again offered reclean which again had to decline. Then was told "invoice would be taken care of". I never got one single invoice in the mail. Over a year goes by and one arrives yesterday which a red stamp saying "Final Notice, must settle account by Jan 15, 2012 or will be sent to collections". I called company thinking this must be a mistake. Since this was over a year old and nobody had ever called or sent a previous invoice, this could not be valid. I spoke to Alex who admitted only 1 invoice sent in a year, but said I had to pay for the partial cleaning and because I declined the recleaning, there was nothing they could do. I explained that having a cleaning guarantee does no good if the customer has to be inconvenienced to use it. They claim maids were in our home for 3 hours. There was absolutely no evidence of that even being possible due to so many rooms not being touched at all. So there is multiple issues going on here. First their ability not to keep appointment times as quoted. They arrived hours late. Then the horrible job they did with the partial cleaning and then leaving uncleaned portions of my home. Then not being able to communicate with the maids due to language barrier. And finally the sending of an invoice after a year delay and not being willing to take care of it as originally promised or even recleaning my house now. I am even willing to pay for the partial work they did, poorly of course, but I will pay. But that is not 3 hours worth.
