At this time we are requesting Monarch Grand Vacation to cancel the Timeshare that we purchased on March 4th, 2010 at 11:30pm. We tried canceling it over the phone today April 1, 2010, but were informed that we could only do this in writing. When I purchased your timeshare I was promised many, many benefits which I have come to find out that none of it is true. First of all for the Day use we were told by Diana one of your sales staff at your Ontario, CA office that we could use it from 9am-10pm. First of all this is not true because when calling the number to book the Day Use we were told that is from 10am-6pm. On top of all this we were told that we could use the day pass at any time that there would be no problem to use it the only thing that they asked is for us to call and say we were going with X number of people so that they would have enough towels for us and they would plan ahead for all the services. Well this is not true at all. First of all we have tried to use the day pass but it has been booked, finally I asked the representative over the phone, just tell me what resort of all the ones on the list is open and when. He was able to book me for 1 of them. After all trying many times, also I have tried in 3 different occasions to make reservation to spend a weekend in one of the resort and it has been impossible since everything is booked. I tried for April 2-3 than tried April 9th-11th, May 21-23, and May 29th-31st They finally told me that this was not really designed for us to use it during the summer or on the weekend that it was pretty much a service for Mon-Thurs. First of all we would of never purchased this time share if it had time limitations, we work Monday-Thursday and we take our vacations during the summer. This is not practical for us as a family. We were also told that if we did not want to use our points we did not have to that we could book rooms for $65 a night. This would be nice if it was actually true, but there is time limitations on points and reservations and when the reservations could be done and if is between this time and that time you cant use money only points, and also everything is booked. There is no purpose to us to go to the beach during the winter, we like to do this during the summer. We were also told that we buy 7 days for $259, which is not true either. We were very clear with Diana at the time of purchase about this. She not once mentioned any of this and told us that we could use it at any time. We are very disappointed and feel that your company is committing fraud by lying on which services are actually offer and by not letting clients know of the actual benefits and limitations of this timeshare. We would like to cancel this membership and prohibit your company from making any more charge to my credit card. We are also asking you to credit our credit card account back for the two charges that you submitted to my master card.
