My mother is a resident at Monticello Park.  Last year (2012), she kept telling us she was not getting all her medications, of which she pays Bonaventure $550 a month to manage!  I filed a complaint with the State of WA.  The State opened an investigation and went to Monticello Park where they pulled 6 random Samples including my mother's records.  Of the 6 samples pulled, ALL were found to be in violation of not giving residents prescribed medications, and medications not ordered timely, allowing residents to go without.  It was charted that my mother had missed 7, YES 7 doses of her Heart/Blood Pressure meds. Monticello was given several serious citations by the State of WA.  They also tried to move my mother to a Level 2 for Care because she was taking her own weight.  Gave her a bill for it and no written notice of the increase!! Level 2 is double of Level 1.  

This year in March 2013, my mother pushed her call button for help due to being seriously dizzy and no one went to check on her.  I called the Administrator (5th one in a one year span) and he said it was charted that an aide responded within 2 minutes and that he himself served her coffee that morning...LIAR LIAR!!  They were on Lock Down so there was no way he could of served her coffee and the aide they charted for checking on my mother was not even on duty that day!! They FORGED HER MEDICAL RECORD!!   I have asked for yet another State Investigation and she is not getting her medications like she is suppose to...AGAIN!

Now on to her billing.  My mother is on a VA Deferred agreement with Monticello.  Her base room/board/meals/housekeeping is $1820 per month and her Medical/Nursing serivces are are $550 per month for total monthly charges of $2370 per month. She was given a bill that states she owes $17000.00.  I asked for an itemized billing statement from when she moved in and found that they are charging her $2620 per month PLUS $550!!  And no where does it show any credits that she was suppose to receive from them charging her for a Level 2!  I have copies of all contracts and tried to point out their serious billing errors and have gotten no where. I now have a call into the Corporate Accounting to hopefully get this resolved.   

Bottom Line:  Monticello Park is a life or death risk facility! Missed Medications, Unanswered Call Lights, Forged Medical Records and Illegal Billing Practices!  DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE HERE or ANY BONAVENTURE Facility...If they don't kill them, they suck every penny from them!!

I received a call today from the Regional Manager for Monticello Park and she assured me she will investigate everything going on.  Also, the State was on site doing their investigation.
