This is Austin. Our city is supposed to be the poster child for cool people and most of all acceptance of all types of people. I can guarantee there were far worse "dressed" patrons already in the bar.
Bikers are not criminals and turning us away from somewhere with a "casual" dress code according to their website (www.moontowersaloon.com) is outright discrimination. What's next? Are they going to turn people
away for having long hair, having the wrong color of skin, or tattoos? !!

You're correct. It is discrimination. You say that like it's a bad thing (get a dictionary). Are you saying that all bars and restaurants should be forced to accept anyone dressed in whatever fashion they choose? Do you think that ripped jeans or buttless chaps would go over real well at the more snooty places in town? Of course not. Because they discriminate. As long as this is a free country, they get to dictate their own dress code. Just because you don't like it, doesn't make it a ripoff.
By the way, I've been riding for over 30 years and bars that do not allow club colors (for good reason) are as common as dirt. The only folks that have a problem with that seem to be the 45 yr. old dentist wannabe bikers playing bad a** in their made up colors.
