I ordered some door clips from jeep4X4center.com. The clips were found by searching for the Make and Model of the vehicle, a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The wrong clips were sent. The clips sent were for a different make and model. The discovering was not made that the clips were the wrong clips until several months after the purchase, when the clips were being installed. At this time a call was made to Morris 4X4 Center and I spoke with Nancy Poole.

Nancy immediately said that since the order was placed past 30 days prior to the call, nothing could be done. I explained to her that the mistake was not a mistake made by the customer, but rather a typo on their website. She advised me she would contact the Mopar Dealership to investigate if this was true. Later that day I received the following email:

I apologize but at this point we cannot take back the fasteners. I have called Jeep and these are the correct year for the Jeep. This is over our 30 day period for the returns. Thank you.
Regards,
Nancy Poole

I then went to the local Mopar Dealership to see if I could figure out what happened and why the parts didn't fit. I found out that the clips were larger ones used on the Dodge Caliper & PT Cruiser and that they wouldn't work on the Jeep Grand Cherokee.

I then sent an email to Nancy explaining that the part # she has isn't for the Jeep Grand Cherokee, like her website says and I gave her the correct part number, which was provided by the local Mopar Dealership. I also sent her clear evidence that was found on the internet by simply searching the wrong part number and the new part number.

I have given Nancy time to respond, but she hasn't done so. I have explained in an email that all I would like is to exchange the parts for the correct ones.

I would suggest that no one use this business because the information on their website is inaccurate and the website uses references and scripture from the bible in an attempt to gain the trust of their victims, which I find a bit creapy since I am a christian.

Misleading Report

AUTHOR: cajundog - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, February 11, 2011

I was contacted by Mr. Mason on door panel fasteners. I contacted my local Jeep dealer and was informed these were the correct parts. As we have a 30 day return policy clearly stated on our website I informed Mr. Mason that we would not be able to take the parts back as they were purchased on June 3rd of 2010.

At this point Mr. Mason on the 9th sent me the following email.

Re: Morris 4X4 Center

Ms. Nancy: I went to the local Jeep dealership to verify what your saying and found out that you are wrong. The part # 502317AA is a door fastener for 2003-2005 Liberty, 2003-2007 Caliper, and 2004 PT Cruiser. The correct number for the clip for the 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee is 6505539AA.

This can be verified with a quick search of the internet.(6505539AA).  (((Redacted)))

The wrong part, what you sent me, can be verified to not be for a Grand Cherokee by searching the internet. (502317AA) (((Redacted)))
I would hope that since you were mistaken and that it is evident that your website information is wrong, that you would be kind enough to replace the clips with the correct ones.

The clips that you sent me have been kept inside of a house since purchased, in the same box it was shipped in, which looks the same as the day it was received. All I ask is that you send me the right part, which I paid for.
Chad Mason

This was on the 9th.

Despit the complainants assertions about the part as researched on the internet, We do not buy our parts by doing "quick searches on the internet"

I have re-contacted my local Jeep dealer again to try to see if there is indeed a difference in the two parts as the complainant is stating and if so, are they for the same year Jeep.

This process takes time, and as anyone can see by the date of the last email from Mr. Mason and his subsequent filing of this complaint the next day, he has not  given me adequate time to see if they are the correct parts and resolving the problem before filing this dispute.

We at Morris 4X4 Center value each and every customer. We have an A+ rating with the BBB because of our business ethics and the customer service we provide. If this is the incorrect part we will take back the parts and replace with the correct parts.

Our profession of faith on our website is exactly that, a profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord. It is not an attempt to gain trust in order to victimize potential customers as stated by Mr. Mason.

Proverbs 16:3 Commit your works to the Lord and your thoughts will be established.
