I was recently put in and unfortunate financial position due to the unethical and immoral business practiceshired by Vincent Patrick and Gordon DeBoer. I was hired by Vincent as an "Office Manager, " we immediately agreed on my hours, days and salary. I was in need of a job and thought this was a great opportunity. . I am going to try not to make this too long, but so much information to cover.
Please trust what I am telling you, he will make you feel as if you just obtained the best job out there and you were truly blessed. Well its unfortunate, because this man has no conscious to deliberately rip his employees off. Where are your morals? Do you even have any shame for being such a thief? He is telling other prior employees that he has declared bankruptcy so they are out of luck. NO, it goes beyond that...i will take it to the US Attorney's Office. I will do everything to make sure nobody else is victimize.
Let me give you a little background on how we started out as one company and became another. I was first hired by Vincent Patrick, but within a week he had me attending training at CentrePointe Financial. I was trained on using "Sales Force" it's a software all the verifiers use to update information on potential borrowers. I was required to train all the telemarketers, supervise them, keep in contact with all his clients and make sure they receive their leads. I was also providing customer support for Gordon DeBoer clients who also purchased hot leads. At times, Gordon would give me the schedule for the week for the telemarketers. We were left in the dark about this "Joint Venture" they had going on.
We received a copier, fax machine, cubicles and the list goes on from CentrePointe a couple days later. I don't know how he did business without important office equipment. This man didnt have a pot to piss in because he was in limbo for 8-months with no fax or copier. (Tight a*s) He said he had been waiting for this joint venture to happen. He bragged about how he was paid $250,000. by Gordon to do this joint venture. I was hired as an employee, but when we became Centrepointe they made everybody sign an Independent Contractor Agreement W-9 and Employment Application. We were told if we didn't sign this we wouldn't get paid. We were no longer allowed to use our personal emails nor Mortgage Workflow. It had to be the email they assigned us through Centrepointe. Funnyhow they all stick together and how they are covering up all the lies.
I have witnesses and documentation to prove otherwise. Trust me the truth will set you free. It's funny how the control they were exerting clearly indicated they were treating all of us as employees. Bottom line, they are ripping the government off by not paying any Employment Taxes, Social Security, etc. I received two checks for payroll ending July 24th and the one Vincent wrote wasn't honored due to insufficient funds. Apparently, he has only had this account for less than a year and has done this many times to other people.
I have been contacted by several prior employees and they aren't letting this go either. In addition, many client's of Vincent have contacted me and filed lawsuits against him. Why do people have to be so hard headed, just pay people their payroll wages and refund them the money you took and fail to provide them with any good leads.. You can't get away with something of this nature.
I think it shows just how one can be if you won't make good on a bounced payroll check. I felt very uncomfortable to keep asking for my hard earn wages. One night...Vincent decided to cuss me out and told me he would give me my fu__ing money and I could get out of his life forever. Flash backhe told me that is what he does when people come and bug him for money. He always told me he didnt have a problem writing people off. I guess its easier to write off people you owe money to than do the right thing and pay them.
Now as for my second claim I was due for my final wages, upon termination immediately. Wouldnt you know itCentrepointe tells me that they arent doing payroll until the 16th and I will have to wait. I guess they werent aware of the Labor Board Laws and waiting time penalties of my daily rate. WorstI was owed three weeks worth of pay and guess whatthey rip me off one week because Gordon who worked out an agreement to have control of all of Vincents employees, decided he isnt responsible for that extra week. Well that is funny because I did most of my work for Gordon. This joint venture partnership is between them not us and they need to work it out and just pay up.
I am going to file a class action lawsuit on all his employees behalf, claiming that money you shorted them, plus penalties and it can get ugly if I have EDD, IRS, DEPARTMENT OF LABOR BOARD, ATTORNEY GENERAL AND THE LIST GOES ON. They are both equally liable for my unpaid wages. I don't know what makes the two of you think it will just go away. BK doesn't help on the criminal side of it, so try again because they allow restitution be paid through Victim Witness Program. I will help anybody who has been a victim of wages being ripped off by Vincent Patrick.
I am not happy about CentrePointe flat out lieing to EDD about me working for your office. Believe it or not, it proved your both crooks.
They are misclassifying all the employees as Independent Contractors when they control them . They keep close tabs on them and some have even gotten sent home for taking an extended lunch. WOW...your playing with fire. They have specific hours, days and are provided training, sales leads and all the office equipment. Gordon you can't control your staff and list them as Independent Contractors. The Loan Consultants are entitled to at least minimum wage. I also know that the verifiers are not independent contractors (another fine and penalty)
Centrepointe Financialyou may be found guilty of misclassification with your verifiers and loan officers. It's obvious that some employers will do anything to deceive the government and employees. You can't get away with doing this to people. The telemarketers, is a huge misclassification, you could face: Exposure for unfair business practices (B&P section 17200); Tax liability and penalties; Criminal liability (LC section 3700. I already contacted the IRS and they will make the final determination as to my classification, the contract means nothing if its contradicting your status and job duties.
To the two of you...I am so angry with how unprofessional the two of you have acted. Stealing the money that i earned, doesn't set well with me . The others worked hard too and need to be paid...I will no stop until we are all paid and the community knows what you two have done. Keep in mind you basically stole my kids clothing off their back...hope a few hundred dollars was worth it all to you.
In the end, when all is said and done, I dont know how can sleep at night, knowing the personal and financial heartache they have caused so many people through their unethical business practices. In my opinion, they should not be allowed to continue to run their business until they have paid ALL of their current debts off IN FULL with employees, know for a fact that the amounts of money they owe these people are not small amounts but SUBSTANTIAL sums of money
Anyone who wants any additional information...will be happy to provide you all the victims names and numbers. Don't let it go, you must put an end to this and if means incarceration for them...well if that's what it takes...go for it. Nobody deserves this type of treatment. You don't take me away from my kids to work for you for nothing...i will seek every dime and more.
