Complaint Review: Mountain Hardwear
Mountain Hardwear1414 Harbour Way S #1005 Richmond, California USA
Mountain Hardwear Mountain Hardwear advertises a lifetime warranty. Despite wearing a jacket for only a couple of years and the MH representative noting there was plenty of life in the jacket, they would not warranty the jacket. MH noted there was a defect in the waterproof laminate, but they would only sell me a new jacket and not replace the defective product. Richmond California

Mountain Hardwear's lifetime warranty is a sham. Despite noting that my jacket was defective and had a lifetime warranty, they would not replace it. They admitted a defect in the waterproofing/laminate coating, and said the jacket had plenty of life in it. However, they would not repair or replace the jacket but said I could buy a new jacket instead. The other option they gave me was to wear the jacket (despite not being waterproof as claimed) as there was "plenty of life left in it." The warranty is false advertising.
