Never ever use the company Movers Authority!!! It is a total rip off. They give you a quote of 78.00 per hour for three men and a truck. They estimate the time based on the size of house or apt. They do not tell you they will nickel and dime you to death. They charge for tape to wrap furniture and all wrapping materials at a very high price and wrap things that do not need to be wrapped. $549.00 of wrapping materials for an apt. Awful awful! They work slow and take multiple breaks and smoke breaks so to add up more time. Some times they are just standing around. The boss Sam, even told them to work slower. Once the truck was loaded and at new destination Sam gives you this bill that is twice what the quote was and demands cash or he will not unload your stuff. He threatens to take off with it with out the money. He estimates the time to unload and you must pay up front. If he owes you money back which he did, he says call the office and get it . No one will return your call for a refund. Lies, threats, bullying, and an awful job in everyway! Never use this company! It is a total rip-off!

When a customer books their move with us, we send them a service agreement.  The customer has to sign this and return it to the office in order to make the reservation.  The service agreement clearly explains every charge, as well as the payment arrangement.  Also, customers are directed to visit our website which has the prices listed.  Then on the moving day, the customer is shown and asked to sign the price list for the supplies which will be used.  There is no reason this customer shouldn't have known what to expect.

If the customer insists they will not pay, according to D.O.T. "Ready to Move", the mover can be expected to hold their belongings for them until they are able to provide payment.  They cannot stay at the customer's home indefinitely, and after the customer adamantly refuses to pay, the driver has no choice but to leave.  We do not want to do this.  We are a moving company, not a storage company.  We want to offload customers' things at their home because that is our business and how we get paid.  What the customer is describing as bullying is actually the driver refusing to offload without payment, despite the customer insisting they do so.

Workers are only humans, but they tend to work at very fast speeds.  This results in injuries and damage to walls and furniture, so they do have to be told to slow down now and then.  Many people get exhausted at rearranging a single room.  These workers are carrying out every piece of furniture in the house, and loads of boxes and bric-a-brac.  Then they turn around and carry it all into a new home.
