Moving Van Lines, Inc. moved me from FL to OH. They showed up 10 hours late. Did not call. All of my items were packed when they arrived. All boxes were sealed using packing tape purchased by me and sealed by me. There was no need for them to use much tape, but I was charged $429.50 for TAPE!!! They Packed my things into a rental truck and said it would all be transferred to a big van line. They took THREE weeks to deliver my belongings and it arrived in the same rental truck in the exact position that they were packed in. My belomgings sat in the same truck piled up for THREE weeks. My bedroom set was trashed. They punched in the back of my dresser and broke the bottom of the jewelry box that sits on top. My coffee table was so badly gouged it became garbage. They broke my vacuum in half and did not deliver the bottom half at all. It went missing. A glass specific box with dividers inside and each glass individually wrapped, got smasked and I lost a full set of glasses. Pictures of damaged goods were taken as things came off the truck and were sent to co. We contacted the co., but they have done NOTHING to replace or fix my beautiful belongings. This was the WORST!!!! moving company I have ever used. They even destroyed my china cabinet...I cried over this.

Update of my plight

I did contact Anthem, but at the same time I got the Better Business Involved, so Anthem was pretty cooperative. The settlement they offered me was so low that I don't know how to proceed. We did discover that Moving Van Lines, Inc. did steal more than $1000 on my daughter's credit card. That was over and beyond the amount they asked for on the bill of lading and we paid. So now we are letting the credit card company go after them. And they are.

Sharon your information got me on the road to getting my claim in. Thank you so much! I called Underwriters at Lloyds London and they referred me to an insurance broker who sent me directly to their insurance company:
