Mtn. View Ford Administered By First Extended Service Corporation uses middle man to take the heat off them Chattanooga Tennessee

I bought a 1997 nissan truck form Mt. View Ford in Chattanooga, Tn.with a 3 mth. or 3,000 mile warranty administered by or through First Extended Service Corporation in Dallas Texas. In less than a week after the purchase something with the engine timing went wrong.

I took the truck into my nearest Nissan dealer who said, it was the timing tensioner (cost for repairs $760.00). The claim was called into First Extended Service Corporation who denined it, even though these parts are covered in their warrany.

After reading the contract a few times I noticed that First Extended Service Corporation doesn't actually pay for the work or parts the dealer you purchase the automobile from actually pays the cost.

First Extended Service Corporation is just there to take the heat off the dealer, to keep the dealer from getting a bad name. Any way, if you have problems call the dealer after you call First Extended Service Corporation and tell them you know who this stuff works and read your contract carefully.

In the end First Extended Service Corporation only paid 1/2 of the covered cost about $250.00.
