Search TipsPlain and Simple: I was assigned territories offered and agreed upon during hiring process. Mueller was in non-compliance. I would not have accepted this part-time job offer had I known that this was not true. I then received assignments, and I accepted those counties that I agreed to mutually when I accepted the position. I did not accept those areas that were not those agreed upon. I was subsequently informed by Erikson that " this was not why you were hired", and I reminded him that these were not the agreed upon counties. He threatened loss of my job if I did not do these outer counties not agreed upon during interview. Regardless of what Erikson conveys, this is cut and dry. He was cruel and severely unsupportive from then on. I have had him on speakerphone with my family and employees whom cannot believe his pessimistic attitude and particularly the undermining of the integrity of my interview. I have another business and did that via Skype etc. through Washington, PA. This was part-time which is why I told Mueller I would work for them if I only had the specific areas, those of which were in immediate need. They agreed.
He was unprofessional and scary to say the least. He is a bully, dishonest, manipulative and has made me a victim of slander from one of his reps/employees. This is a very small person.
For the record, it is interesting to hear from one of Erikson's people, that I should have pursued the HR dept. at Mueller. As all know, you CANNOT be connected to anyone but your manager. It is either out of sheer laziness from these receptionists or, well, another agenda, for always saying that they are instructed to give you the manager's machine service and no one else. As all of my family, friends and employees are aware, I tried to get to HR or anyone else at least 20 times.
I am currently in Florida where I run my business daily from an office, but also work part-time for another subcontractor for an insurance company Inspecting and Reporting. This sub company is reliable, supportive, professional, and has integrity. And, there is no bullying. I am very please to know that there are people of good and normal character at other places involved in the insurance reporting business.
I have worked for this company over 2 years. They aare great! Never an issue with manager contact, pay weekly, earn lots of money part-time if you are reliable and a good independent worker. I love my job with Mueller.

Hard to believe he was not contacted by a manager and worked alone because the first couple of reports you submit are never complete - and SOMEONE would have gotten back to him so he can rectify the report. Mueller is a great company.

I've been with them for over a year now and I LOVE my job. I've always found pretty much everyone to be polite and customer oriented. I'm hoping that your Manager is no longer with the company because that is not what the company wants to reflect.
I would suggest perhaps contacting HR and letting them know what happened to you.
Best of luck.

I am very sorry you had such a bad experience with this company. I agree that the company is very hands off, so it takes a special person to work for it. The web site you use to log in and do your survey work has contact links, you should have contacted HR or even customer service to file a complaint. The people I have dealt with are courteous and professional, but do expect you to be able to work on your own. If you would rather watch TV and drink a beer than do your work, then this is not the company for you, you need a Supervisor who will monitor you in a closed environment (usually cubicle-ville) and keep you on track. However, if you have the maturity to "work first, play later" and pay attention to details, this can be a very rewarding company to work for.
Lastly, although I feel it is petty, I think it also necessary to point out that this is not a text message. If you expect people to take your post seriously, for the love of mike, use a spell check! Read over your post and make corrections to grammar, capitalize the "I" and at least pretend you graduated high school. If this is how you submitted your reports, I am surprised you were even paid if you were submitting text in such an unprofessional format.
