My friend and me are rappers in the Philadelphia area. We want to get our music out to the masses and people that can help make a difference. We looked online for music companies that could help. We came across a lot and some caught our eye. Music180.com promises to be the doorway to the music industry. After being on the site we saw that we could sign up for free, which we did. Then we saw that you can send your music to producers, and other music people, some you can even talk to on the phone. That all costs money. Then we looked at 100s of other artists on the site. We sent messages to some artists to find out more about the site. They all had similar rip off stories. Some bought from the site to get a music business person to listen to their music and give back their thoughts. A lot of them said they never heard back from any of the people on the site. Some even paid 100s of $$$ to talk to people on the phone, and nothing happened. They emailed the company about getting their moneys back, and nothing happened. Some people did hear back from the music person but it took more than a month. We ain't got a lot of money and are all about our music. We know the internet is where we can get our music out. But companies like these are bad for us struggling artists. All this company wants is your money and not your music. THey are liars and a lot of the music people on the site are not even working with the rappers we look up to.
