After purchasing a new computer I called a phone number found when searching microsoft.com to transfer my 2007 home and office software from a broken 3rd use computer to its replacement. This is the phone number that came up, I called and they hijacked my computer telling me they could "fix the problem", invasion of "dangerous" virus, for either a $149.99 basic computer service or double that price for full service.

I had them on hold, computer chat, while I called the store it was purchased from and they advised me to get off line asap and bring the computer in. It now has to be reset to factory settings due to the threat from my tech guru, at of course, cost to me.

The store where I purchased it from said they have had complaints and computers brought in similar to this after paying and the computer crashing or not being repaired.

It is a problem that companies like this exist iyogy account number (((redacted))) took money from my bank account with no authorization I dont even have then in my computer anymore because everytime I call is more money toresolve the matter. tech guru errase my system completly when it was just a solution to a web problem, mcafee an other and the proble is work delegation, techgeny is a sub for iyogy. I called Iyogy first since they had abused and taken money it was there duty to help but the excuse was that it was going to be a $160.00 dollars more. so instead they put there subs to call me as if they where the ones and strangely they found that a week old system with a new router ssid password and proxy was hacked and it is going to cost me $191.00 to pay the when iyoge has a contract with me. I am not a clown,or some ones toy but it is the falt of the big enterprices who for saving a dollar are giving opportunity for the market to get this way. subcontracting is the problem.

"to transfer my 2007 home and office software from a broken 3rd use computer to its replacement"

It would have been easier (at no cost) to install the programs from the original source discs.
