My husband ordered the 1 week trial of the patches the first week of September. He read on their site (in small small letters) where you had to call and cancel the automatic shipment before 30 days or they would take $169.99 out of your checking account and send a 30 day supply of patches. He called the next week and cancelled the order. He talked with Eddy and Eddy told him our order was cancelled and he gave us a cancellation number to verify this.
on September the 27th, two and a half weeks later they took out $169.99 from our checking account, making our checking account overdrawn I might add.
We called the company told them that they had taken our money after we had cancelled and we even had a cancellation number. They apologized and said that it would take up to five days to return the money. It sure is funny they can take the money in a matter of minutes but to put it back it takes days...
Anyway, five days later the money was not in there. We called back, they said the reversal had been approved on september the 30th, but it would now take up to ten to fifteen days for the money to get in there. After a few words with them, we waited the fifteen days, guess what??? still no money.
Finally we had had enough.. My husband called talked to two or three people and told them he wanted to talk to a supervisor who could do something. They put a gentleman by the name of Steve on. My husband told him the problem and told him this was ridiculous. Steve looked at our account and said "oh, they tried putting your money back in the account on the 3rd of October but there was an error with the reversal." My husband asked what kind of problem was there? Steve said apparently they had the wrong account number for the bank account. Well, they sure didn't have the wrong number to take this money out. Steve said that they would have to manually put this money back in but it could take up to 3 to 10 days. My husband told him that he better have our money back in our account by friday or we would talk with our lawyer. This was on Wednesday, October 20th. Our money was in our account today, Saturday,October 23rd. Our lawyer said to hassle, hassle, hassle. These places like to hold your money for 60 to 90 days for interest. Needless to say we will never order anything else off of the internet. We had done everything right, even had the cancellation number and they still took our money. I wished I would have looked on this site before he ordered these and we would have been saved a great deal of time and stress.
When my husband talked to a lawyer they told him that if there are several people who have been done like this and have not received their money a class action suit could be filed against this company. This is something everyone who has had their money taken may want to think about.. If you are like us 169.99 plus our overdrawn charge of 29.99 is a lot of money.
