NACS Never bought anything from these people and now they are trying to ruin my credit rating St. Petersburg Florida

In Dec of 2000 someone tried to open an account with NACS in my name. Fortunatly I discovered this and called and cancelled my account in three days. Imagine my suprise come April of 2110 when I discovered a $250 debit from my checking account. Yep...it was them.

I went to my bank and had this investigated. NACS had removed the funds on my approval....this is 4 months after closing my unauthorized account. My bank got my money back from them, and I placed a non pay status for this company with my bank.

Fast Foreword to Aug of 2004. Applied for a mortgage. was denied for deliquent payments. Pulled my credit rating...NACS had started reporting negative ratings on me in aug 2003, Feb 2004, apr 2004, and jun 2004...4 years after closing my unauthorized account !!!

I called the comopany and talked to someone named "tony" with apparently no last name, or no last initial. He did pull up my account and did indeed see that it was closed Dac 200. when I inquired as to why then negative reports were being generated 4 years after I closed the unauthorized account, he appoligized and said he would send the whole thing to the credit bureau and have ot removed. Needless to say, i had already called the credit bureau and reported this. The case is still pending.
