NATIONAL CREDIT ADJUSTERS This company has contacted me numerous times at my work and personal cell number in order to collect a debt from Bally's Total Fitness. I paid in full the debt that I owed to Bally's over 5 yrs ago, a Hutchinson, Kansas

At the end of 2004, I paid a debt in full of over $1000 that I owed to Bally's Total Fitness in cancellation of my gym membership. I received a letter confirmation of the debt to Bally's shortly after; however about a yr later I received a notification from the National Creditor Adjusters stating that I still owed an amount of $500 to there corporation for the debt related to Bally's; in which I had already paid in full. This corporation, NCA, has contacted me periodically throughout the last 5 and a half yrs stating I still owe money to them. They contacted me recently at my work phone;which I did not authorize them to contact me at, and my past experience in the debt/telemarketing business you are not allowed by law to contact or I should say harass at person at their place of work.

At this point, they are trying to collect a settlement of $157.00 and claim that they will have the credit bureaus remove it from my credit. I feel completely harassed and frustrated by this corporation and the way that they have tried to collect a debt that is false to my credit. On my credit report it displays this company's false debt. I am now filing this report because I am tired of receiving these notifications of false debt to a corporation in which I feel are trying to collect a debt that is not due to them or Bally's Total Fitness. Also, another complaint about NCA is that when I did research on where and when this debt was sent to them no one was able to pull up collections that I owed to them, and they had no records of a present Bally's Total Fitness account that needed debt payment.
