POSTED: Friday, March 07, 20081. If you have any accounts in collections and want to pay them. Get them taken care of and they will stop calling.
2. If you don't have any accounts in collection(that is this is a mistake) send them a debt validation letter by certified mail. Until they validate the debt they can not contact you anymore.
3. If you have collection accounts but don't want to pay. Send them a certified letter stating that they are to no longer contact you at any location(home or business) by phone. Once they receive this even one call would be a violation. Just asking them on the phone does not bind them legally to stop calling. This won't make the debt go away, it just keeps them from calling you.
Take a look at the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act(FDCPA) as to what a Collection Agency can and can not do.

File a complaint online with the attorney generals office in the state nco is based in, Pennsylvania. See link above for their online complaint form and you will hear back from the AG's office. + they're quite familiar with nco already having fined them in years past.
