When I first signed up to find out more information about NHCD, a lady named Twila called me and told me what the job required and said I just had to pay $75.00 deposit to get a phone line and after 500 calls I would get my money back. She also told me I would get $3.00 a call whether the person agreed to it or not. If they agreed to it I would make more.

But when I went to the meeting on the phone with a lead manager named Pam Longworth, I found out I was lied to. I wouldn't be paid unless I got the person to agree to listen to a presentation and I wouldn't get my deposit back until I got 500 leads in 5 weeks.

I was flat out lied to. Out of all those phone calls I did make, no one was interested so I knew I would not make any money or get the 500 leads in 5 weeks to get my deposit back.

What a rip off. I sure could use $75.00 on other things then a rip off. This company should not mislead people
and take your money like that. I know I'm not rich to throw away money. I was looking for a job to make money and stay home with the kids. So I learned a good lesson from this and if there are honest companys out here, I don't know if I would trust any of them again. Please DO NOT sign up with NHCD! They will tell you the are also with the BBB.

#2 UPDATE EX-employee responds

I am an ex manager of NHCD I would like to be in on the lawsuit how do I get...

AUTHOR: Rebecca - (U.S.A.)

I worked for almost 10 months as a manager at NHCD and left because of the bad practices and lies that were told to me to tell to those I worked with everyday.

I worked 60+ hours a week, got leads and recruiters was top in the line for recruits until I started asking questions that concerned me when I started asking questions my leads were yanked and I was left with a team that was mad because I couldn't give them leads no matter how hard they worked. And blamed for my team not getting leads when it was not my position to hand out leads it was the top managers job.

Once I left I was bad mouthed by the manager I know as one of my best friends was on my team and told me all about it. My "ex-team" was told I took all the leads to work them, that I left because of the money" not the reason I left, I left because I felt threatened and very helpless with people calling me to yell at me because they did not have work...didn't make quote 3 out of 10 then no more leads, some people faithfully worked the same leads for weeks spent their own money to produce other leads etc and were denied leads.

I know that several times I was given a chargeback to hear that same person on a meeting phone call who had been placed on a different team.

I hated the fact that if someone didn't make their quota for the week they could not get leads the next week, I know how hard it is to get those leads to sign up, towards the end I would get people who had already been contacted etc. I was told to tell all that it was a legitimate "job" but a job would not tell you that you have leads all the time to have the work yanked out from under you.

Once you start asking questions you were basically told to not ask anymore or you may lose your position.

Can the lady who is in the lawsuit please contact me.

Public Forum

AUTHOR: Darren - (U.S.A.)

Don,
This is a public forum where people can air a problem they have with a company. If you wish to represent the buseiness that is great, actually I would guess encouraged. However, to say that you will address issues with current Reps only isn't contributing to the discussion.

As a matter of fact, it appears to be an attempt to deflect attention away from the issues. It is also a bit like closing the coop after the chickens have already flown. People concerned about whether the company is legitimate and/or fair are not going to sign up to get your side of the story.

A few numbers would speak volumes. As a business person you can appreciate how charts and graphs tell the story... for example (I hope the formatting works):

Number of Reps
Years Empolyeed <1 2 3 4
XXX XXX XXX XXX

Average Earnings*
$0 - 1,999 xxx
$2,000 - 2,999 xxx
$3,000 - 3,999 xxx
$4,000 - 4,999 xxx
$5,000 - 5,999 xxx
* Averages are based upon the success of the individual.

These are easily attainable numbers from within the company and should be a source of pride to a company looking to honestly aquire people to work for them. As a matter of fact, it might even bring in more associate/reps if actual numbers were presented.

Something other than, "He said, she said." Or, "Clause 3, sub-clause 2a states..."

By the way... I still wasn't clear... does a person get the $3.00 per call, or per the lead listenting to a sales pitch?

Thanks

AUTHOR: Don - (U.S.A.)

First of all Tammy, you never worked for the company! You were hired on and quit within 3 days. Who are you to say that this is an illegitimate company? You didn't even try to work. You have absolutely no right to bash a company who gave you an opportunity to earn a living from home. How do I know this? Gee, let me see, oh yeah, I HIRED YOU.

I never gave you any incorrect or false information about the job you were hired for. Not a bit! I certainly can appreciate any concerns the people may have who actually gave it an honest attempt and found that it wasn't for them. But you didn't even try. You definitely have issues yourself. You say that the company is ethically wrong in some way. HELLO! Take a long hard look at yourself. Ms. Twiselton, you have a nice day!

Ruh roh.........I must've hit a nerve~

AUTHOR: Tammy - (U.S.A.)

Don, you mean, mean NHCD minion, you~

Ahhhhhhhhhh~ the usual defense against deceit and really bad 'website' lies and practices~ hahaha~

I have better things to do, but giving you, an NHCD puppet a hard time, is more fun~ are you REALLY happy with your job~ I mean, really? Or is that just a cheap facade since your mullet hair kept falling into the food at your defunked Italian restaurant? (Yeah, we saw the pic.) I mean, it must have been a destitute time for you to crawl back to an internet job where you had to be a 'lead generator' again~ lol.............. You make the call.

Tell us, the Rip Off Report readers, why you enjoy your NHCD 'manager' job so much~ be a man and stand up for yourself!!!!!!!! heh~

Oh, and P.S. I learned from your scam company about pyramid........uh~ sorry, telecomuting jobs, as most of us in this forum have.

So, tell us more about your company, BUTLERIMAGE.COM that voted NHCD, Telecommute position deal of the year for 2004, man. We all are excited to know!

Truth Hurts.. Rest assured!

AUTHOR: Karley - (U.S.A.)

Well, Don, the truth hurts.. Tammy has stated nothing but facts regarding this company.

Rest assured there are telecommuting jobs that are actually legit, unlike NHCD!! Check out companies like Onsite Sourcing www.onss.com or Rapid Text www.rapidtext.com. They won't charge you some ridiculous fee(that is actually a tax write off), they pay by direct deposit every two weeks, you don't have to call and bother senior citizens all day and lead them into a scam, etc. etc.

AUTHOR: Don - (U.S.A.)

Tammy, As I had stated: I will address any current Rep's. concerns regarding the job.
You are not a current employee, rather just someone who would like to bash the company and apparently everyone working for them.
Good Luck trying to find a telecommute position as legitimate as this one.

#13 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Hi Don.....your website made my day!

AUTHOR: Tammy - (U.S.A.)

I just had one hell of a good chuckle, but we'll
get into that in a minute~

With all due respect Don, the whole deposit issue you talked about is in question~ read on, oh ye~

You're basically saying that the current contract states that in order for a person to work for your company, you can either:

A) Send in the $74.00 deposit, therefore making long distance calls on the NHCD dime, and being supplied with the phone numbers to get potential prospects~

or

B) The person basically agrees to use their own long distance, and gather their own potential phone numbers.

Now in reality, which one do you think the average person is going to do here? Isn't that a roundabout way of cohersion? Many of these people interested in the job are those who want to stay at home with their family~ their children. How are they going to be able to get a substancial amount of phone numbers in order to even begin to call for that whopping 3 dollars that will eventually be taken away because of some miniscule reason from a sales rep? The normal person wouldn't have a clue as to how they can gather enough numbers for that.

Not only that, the company won't be responsible for someone's calls if they happen to get ahold of someone on the 'Do Not Call' list. That's NHCD's way of getting themselves off the hook if a person does that, and also it's their way of saying, "Well, paying the deposit would be the easier way to go for you." It's either pay the deposit or take your chances. Sneeeeeeeeeeeeeaky~

This all says to me that the second choice above was recently thrown into the contract because of so many problems with lead generators getting their deposits back.

And the sneakiest part of all? Making those people that get 'hired' thinking they're getting legitimately interviewed, when in reality, they're being recruited~ (recruiter, recruiting~ get it?)...you know, just like the armed forces? Some of those recruiters make those young men and women think they're going to a Club Med, and they find out that it was just a tad bogus. I used to sit in on all of the NHCD teleconference calls, even after I ditched this minion company, so I know aaaaaaaaaaaall about it.

It doesn't matter if the person has the IQ of an armpit~ hire him.

You didn't state how long you've been a manager, but I looked at your site under YOUR EMAIL NAME of www.butlerimage.com~ and it then redirected me to www.mypaylessrx.com and supposedly, you worked for them a few years, left to start up an Italian restaurant, didn't like it, and came back to NHCD...

...at least that's what your testimonial says~ lol.....and I must say, I'm quite amused at how the whole deposit issue isn't on the front page, but under the 'We offer:' column, it says "Free Work Related Long Distance Service". Niiiiiiiiiiiice~

So, being the snoopy researching person I am, I started clicking away at different links on the site, looking and hoping for any glimpse of an asterisk, small print, something concerning the $74.00 deposit, and do you know what I found?

Nothing~ nada. I even went to the 'Apply Now' link, http://www.mypaylessrx.com/apply.html ...looked at your application page, and no mention of any deposit anywhere. And here you are, a manager.

(But I did find something else interesting and totally hilarious.....read on.)

In conclusion, the average person who is in dire need of feeding their family, sees this, applies, only to have the wonderful 74 buck deposit dropped onto their heads like a brick off of a 23 story building. Oh, but that's ok~ it's legit though, right? You're just what NHCD wants, so kudos to you for enjoying your job.

Oh, and one more thing~ the ticker at the bottom of this page, (http://www.mypaylessrx.com/careers.html), referring to NHCD, that scrolls: "VOTED BEST TELECOMMUTE POSITIONS - MARCH 2004".........

The ironic part? It was voted by ButlerImages Inc. Imagine that!!!!!! What are the odds??????

hahahaha~

Manager that WILL assist any complaint or negative experience.

AUTHOR: Don - (U.S.A.)

I am a Manager with NHCD. Apparently these 2 reps. did not read the contract. Otherwise they would know that the deposit has not went up to $75. I have never had a Rep. call me with any issue concerning their deposit, or the inability to perform the job hired for.

I will however, address any current Rep's. concerns regarding the job. The $74 is a deposit that is required to give each Rep. the ability to dial through the company, thus, avoiding the long distance charges showing up on their phone bill.

This deposit is not required, (as stated in the contract), for individuals who would like to work for NHCD, but would like to obtain individuals to call on their own. For one, the company WILL NOT pay for their long distance charges that would be a result of the calls they make.

More importantly, the company WILL NOT be responsible for any of these reps. who end up contacting someone who has been placed on the "Do Not Call List". The company screens each and every number they provide, with the DNC List, avoiding any legal issues, or fines that would result should a rep. call them.

I would be more than happy to assist, or address any current Rep's concerns regarding any of these issues. I can be contacted via: don@butlerimage.com Please provide your manager's name, your name, phone number and server ID #. I assure you I will contact you within 48 hours.

A lesson learned, and a deceitful way to learn it~

AUTHOR: Tammy - (U.S.A.)

You know, the sad part about the above is the fact that this is happening all over the country every single day concerning this company, and if we've all learned one thing, it's research, research, research ANY company before you give them your hard earned cash. (And by what Leslie said, the telephone access code fee has gone up yet another dollar this year to $75.00.)

This company claims to help people with their prescription drug costs, and once in a blue moon, someone paying for their services 'may' be helped, but it's how they rip off their employee base that obliterates it. And you know why it happens so much? Remember that old saying~ 'There's a sucker born every minute.'? That's what they're preying upon, I assure you~ if not, they wouldn't have the employee turn-over they have per year.

I've posted numerous times in this NHCD category, and I, for one, feel that if just one person per day would check this website, and if one person per day was kept from falling into this scam, then it would all be worth it~
