I tried to tell them that I was on disabilty and a very tight, fixed income but there were two of them and they kind of gang up you and the next thing I knew, I was signed up for a bunch of magazines, most are not even any thing I would ever read and they had the money out of account before I could tell them there wasn't any money in there until the 3rd, She just said," well, it went through" I then tried to tell that means some thing else wasn't getting paid. All she said was she was sorry about that. These people are leaches

NME The truth about our sales

AUTHOR: Marie - ()

POSTED: Friday, July 26, 2013

I have worked for the National Magazine Exchange in two seperate Departments of the Company. It truely unfortunate for the employees and the Company when we hear from customers who feel they have been "pushed" into something they did not want. The truth of the matter is that if a customer says No and hangs up the phone, then there is no Magazine sale. The only way that our Company obtains a Credit Card is by the Customer giving it to the representitive of thier own free will. If they did not want the Magazines, "Hang Up the Phone and say NO. How can any person, or even ten persons who are in the State of Florida force a person in California to give thier Credit Card Number, Address, Phone Number and Name over the Phone.

The truth is these people have "Buyers Remorse" they call in to enter a sweepstakes, which if they did any research they would see is real. The employee are given the dates and are able to give a full disclosure of the information if the customer asks. The gifts are real because I have talked to thousands of customers who have recieved them, and thousands more who are happy with thier service because they asked questions, before just handing out thier credit card.

Next time, if you don't want the product, don't give out your Credit Card numbers. Hang up the phone, and learn the word No.

"they had the money out of account"

Don't give your account info to someone selling a product you don't want.

So sick and tired of reading about the poor and elderly that claim to be taken advantage of and play the hapless victim card ALL the time! Next time, say "No" and don't even bother to open the door. There, problem solved

It would be wise to not open the door to strangers in the future, if you have no sales resistance. They were trying to make a sale, were obviously good at it and you obliged them.

Sorry for your tight budget, but this looks like a lesson to prevent the same from happening again.

Good luck to you.
