#1 Consumer Suggestion

Call Them

AUTHOR: Kimberly - (U.S.A.)

I had to call and cancel my account. I should have researched the company, but they have some pretty persistant sell tactics, and I fell for it. I called them, threatened to be yet another person who will report them to the BBB, and there are many reports on there. I told them that I had already contacted all credit agencies to block them from touching my credit report in addition to threatening to cancel the debit card number I had given them. It worked. I got my money back, and I haven't heard from them since. The best thing to do when you are burned by solicitation, whether you voluntarily agree to purchase something is to contact the credit bureaus and block soft checks on your credit and then OPT OUT of all junk mail and soliciting. That way, the temptation is not there.

Here's some help

AUTHOR: Dave - (U.S.A.)

Brian,
Try contacting the law firm xxxxx in Tampa. Maybe they can help you. I have read that they are working specifically on NME abuses and will want to hear about credit card abuse. Read some of the other postings on ripoff.com. There are lots of suggetions about how you can get help - a fellow named Chuck has several postings about where to get help and how to report NME.
