I purchased from Safeway a Nordstrom's $200.00 gift card. I gave it to my son in law for a present and when he went to use the card, it had already been used. Mr.Jack Noack of Nordstrom's stated the card was used to purchase a suit and then the suit was returned the next day and Nordstrom's gave the customer cash. I stated they should have a record, some type of identification to whom they gave the money, and quite possibly with all the cameras in Nordstrom a recording of who got the money. Mr. Noack representing and working for Nordstrom's tated I was out of luck and to back charge the amount off my AX card, AX stated it was over 60 days, and Safeway stated all GIFT CARD PURCHASES WERE FINAL! So much for customer service and Nordstrom's representative Mr. Noack stated they knew of the problem from selling thru a 3rd party such as Safeway, but there was nothing they could do. I told American Express under federal law I received "nothing of value" and I could not be held to any 60 day notice that they might have with charges. BUT I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER GIFT CARD AND I WILL NEVER SHOP AT NORDSTROM'S AGAIN, NOR SAFEWAY. THEY ARE TWO BIG RIP OFF'S
