These companies are all operating under the Synapse Group, Inc. and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Time Inc. The scam is to offer one of several magazines trials and then they charge your credit card or debt from your checking account subscription fees and then also start billing for other magazines you may have never even done a trial for. I had 5 charges for 5 different magazines spread over 3 months. I also confirmed with the magazines, that they have no record of any subscription for me. Be careful. This company operates several websites:

www.magazineoutlet.com, www.magcustomerservice.com, www.321mags.com
www.synapsegroupinc.com, www.magsformiles.com
Original Business Start Date: March 1991
Principal: Mr. David Korbusieski, Customer Service Mgr.
Entity: Corporation
Incorporated: January 1991, DE

Unbelievably. they have an A+ rating from online BBB even though there have been hundred of complaints. So much for the BBB

Come on...

AUTHOR: Angie203 - (U.S.A.)

Seriously.. What exactly are you planning on using as a basis for complaint? You signed up for a magazine and neglected to read the terms and conditions before you authorized the charges -either by clicking twice online or by signature.  Just because you don't -or can't- read them  dosen't mean it isn't a legally binding contract once you sign. Are you angry at the company or angry at yourself?

Or is it just your overwelming sense of entitlement (for the small-minded, that translates to "spoiled brat") that you really feel you deserve to get everything for free? You hear 'free' and actually believe it? You're such a special little butterfly that you don't have to pay for magazines that take money to print and mail? Come on...

Learn your lesson and move on. Read before you sign. Pretty simple, really.

You can try what you want but this company will not be shut down they are completely legal in the way they do their business! Maybe if people would open there eyes and start reading the terms and conditions of things there wouldn't be such a problem. I use to get calls from people saying that they aren't dumb that they are well educated people, well if so then why wouldn't you read everything before agreeing to it. Some of the offers that we send out you have to agree to the terms and conditions more then one, you would think that you would at least read it if you're so "well educated". You can try your hardest but it all comes down to the fact that people just need to learn to read things before agreeing to them also they need to relize that nothing in life is free!
