I received a "free" subscription to a magazine. I understood that I needed to cancel before the renewal period. I called to cancel the magazine before the free trial ended. I was told that if I kept the magazine for the entire free period, I would be sent a 20 minute phone card.

I was assured that if I cancelled before February, any charges to my account would be refunded. I cancelled on January 1. I waited a few days for my account to be credited, but it was not.

I called the NSS center and was told that they would not refund my money. I am being charged $52 for a 20 minute phone card. I am disputing the charge with my bank.
