I saw a cute ad for one of Natalie's puppies. I e-mailed her and was told she was still available. I called about mailing out a deposit and was told the price had raised $500 more than she told me because she just couldn't go as low because of how much her puppies were in demand. This was $4,000 now $4,500. Which I will tell you is a couple months of our income but I wanted a yorkie for over a decade and saved and saved. I mailed out my money. Then a few weeks go by and I'm called to be told my puppy is getting larger than she expected so she's going to give me a more expensive puppy instead and sends me pictures(this one was on her site for $6,000). I'm thrilled. A couple days go by and she calls and tells me that she can't sell me that one because someone will pay MORE for it and that the original puppy is now slowing down in growth. I express my hurt saying that's not fair at all. She says she will still sell me the more expensive prettier smaller one. More time goes by(she keeps the puppies till they're a couple months old because of their size) and I'm then told my puppy had passed away, she had a bad bunch of vaccinations. BUT she has another one that is just what I'm looking for. That's the one I ended up with. Lots of flags but she had my money and I've waited so long, I'd been scammed before and honestly, my heart couldn't take the let down anymore. If ANYONE says she's not in it for the money, read the above and then tell me different.

Fast forward to getting my puppy and I'm told she had a problem with her tail but it's clearing up but it's bald and the hair will grow back. She is cute as a button. Then we all catch ringworm. She has a small cough but that goes away.

She was the love of my life(besides kids and hubby) but she did have some small problems. She had a cottony coat, constant bad breath, and now I find out AAI, which is why she only lived to 5. I did let Natalie know and her reply was that it must have not been that bad since she lived that long. She did offer me a puppy for $800. I can't risk that heartbreak again. AAI is genetic.

I found references to many many health problems with her dogs and references to being told they should pay more. She almost went out of business once. Don't let anyone tell you it's not a money making venture.  Also in researching her I have found two cases of AAI, liver shunt, ringworm, kennel cough, giardia, deaths, growing much larger than she promises and not being of breeding quality when sold as such.

I posted a list of people's complaints in this report.  Her puppies bloodlines are sadly all over the U.S. Even in California.  Below is a link to even more complaints about her:

I purchased a Yorkie not from Natalie....but someone who lists a referral to her on her website.  I am concerned.  I am also concerned because 1 of the puppies I almost purchased was cross listed on Natalie's website.  I DO NOT want a puppy from Natalie's breeding program, nor loosely associated with it -given the depth, breadth and consistency of problems and sick puppies I have read about....even with a vet letter about an open fontanel to boot.  No this is cruel, and inhumane. I trust my breeder....she is very nice and I hope and pray she is no working with this person. However, I did get my puppy with giardia and ringworm....2 constant complaints on Natalie's website.  To the writer who says she has  list of names of people who have sick or dead puppies from Natalie...please contact me.  I am in the State of California, the San Fernando Valley...and hope her puppies have not found their way...nor her genetics...here.  If so, I am willing to deal with this proactively through the strong system we have set up here which guards fiercely against malicious breeding and "lemon puppies".  Again...I reallly like my breeder.  She seems nice and honest.  I want to make sure I am not dealing with Natalie's Yorkies in any way form, nor fashion.  We love our new yorkie....and any shenanigans linked to her will not be tolerated..and she can save the Scripture, as well.

Thank you, in advance.

I have been for a very long time looking to purchase a very tiny tiny male yorkie for companionship to my female yorkie, and as well, to eventually breed. Anyone who has been on this quest, will know that the tinier the yorkies, the more expensive they are. Natalie's yorkies have been around for a long time and advertised small yorkies, as well as champion lines. When she told me that she had a very tiny 5 month old male yorkie, that she was originally thinking of keeping for breeding, but was now available for purchase, I thought this was it. Although reluctant to have a puppy shipped, I did not find anything negative over the internet on Natalie's yorkies, and went ahead to have this puppy shipped.

Well, when I received the puppy, of course at first, I was thrilled. But... after careful view I noticed how boney this dog was. I took him to the vet the next day, which confirmed that this puppy was indeed underweight for his size. It almost seemed that this dog was purposely starved in order to be able to honestly say that this dog was only 1.7 pounds at 5 months of age. To this day, the dog is very shy, a sign of it not being socialized - not playful at all, probably grew up in a cage. He came with kennel cough (where 3 weeks later is still coughing) and giardia (a parasite, which had not gone away with two rounds of medications) and to top it all off, the vet thinks that the puppy is much younger than said - only because he still has all of his puppy teeth. So in the end I will probably have a male dog that will grow much larger than my 4.5 lbs female yorkie. Needless to say, after one week in our home he has gained half a pound - in just one week!!! It has been 3 weeks now and I will bring him back to the vet tomorrow to see if he has gained any more weight - and to see if this parasite is finally gone, as well as to see what can be done to get rid of this cough.

Anyway, I have never posted anything negative about anyone in my entire life. I have never ever complained about any purchase I have ever made - but I guess some things you just have to learn for yourself. When they tell you never buy anything over the internet - believe it. Go and see exactly what you are getting - and do not believe anyone about what a puppy weighs unless you weigh it for yourself. I obviously cannot post anything negative on Natalie's blog or on Youtube, because she can delete it. So here's hoping that anyone thinking of purchasing a puppy from Natalie, that they think about it very very carefully. If I had seen any negative post on Natalie when I was looking for a puppy, I surely would have looked elsewhere - better safe than sorry. I am surely sorry now - and want to spare anyone else this horrible experience.

You all shouldn't feel bad about how long it took to see her for what she truely is. Heck I can't tell you how many times I was to her home and even traveled to a show with her. This was all when I first started out in Yorkie's and didn't really know exactly what was right or wrong for the breed. Since that time I have learned alot and must say that if AKC ever required her to do dna on her litters they would pull her registration rights for life. I know for a fact that when a puppy would die she would keep the application and then use it to register another puppy even it it was a little older or in some cases younger so that she could say it was such and such a weight at younger age. That is why I said that anyone who has one of her dogs would be wise to have a DNA test done on them.

"I would like to share with all of your friend the experience that I have had purchasing puppies from you. First of all I want to let them know that you have the most beautiful puppies out there. Second of all, for some reason they are so much smarter, more happy than other yorkies from a different place. They are very active as well. I first bought two girls from Natalie and she send them by airplane. Then unfortunately one of them past away, I we recently bought a new baby girl from her. Her name is Maya she is the most adorable girl, very happy, smart and active. We decided to pick her up and we drove to South Dakota, I have to say that I didn't expect to see so many beautiful dog. For those of you who haven't visit Natalie, well let me tell you, all of her dogs, except for the babies, the new moms and the ones in heat, they are free to run around the house; although, she has many dogs, they are all clean, brush, dress and feed. They have access to food and water all the time, and she keeps her house very clean because it doesn't smell bad. When I picked up Maya, I met a wonderful little puppy, his name is Gabriel, he is sick and he is very fragile and you can see how much Natalie loves this little guy and that's when I realize what a good person Natalie is and what a great breeder she is, because a different person would have put this puppy to sleep but she decided to keep him; even though, he requires more care. So, if any of you is wondering what kind of person and breeder Natalie is, well I hope this helps you; otherwise, you can go to her house and confirm what I just said. Thanks Natalie for taking care of all of your babies and ours. Take care and Gad bless you.

First let me say Im sorry for your loss. Second I commend you for your honesty. I too purchased a dog from Natalie in fact we just lost him at 7 yrs! That poor guy has had more health problems than any dog should have to endure, and bless his heart he is finally at peace.

I also tried to post a negative review. I dont like being negative against someone, I for the most part try to find good in all but felt it needed to be said.

I know exactly who this little girl is out of and where the parents reside(not with you) because I have a female from the same breeding. The fact is I purchased 5 dogs from you for my breeding program, 3 of which have had to be spayed or neutered due to genetic abnormalites. When I purchased these dogs, it was you I spoke to, your contract I signed, your health certificate from the your vet, your pedigree, you cashed the checks totallying over 16,000.00 and you flew the puppies to me and in all our conversations you never spoke of a "little old lady" until you had to start laying blame. Would you like to see a picture of the little girl that was produced by the male and one of the females you sent me as breeders? You have enough people producing pups that when there's a problem you just toss them another, it's nothing to you.

Who do you think pays for the long term health of these pups? Your victims!!

I know with the vast amount of puppies you have sold, you have people who are happy with their babiescongratulations to you and count your blessings and luckily for you,you can hide behind them however, I know that I am not the only one you have hurt by your practices. You should never sell your dogs as breeders, they are not the quailty needed to be breeders, 2 out of 5 is not a good average.

Thats not comletely true. She did sell me a dog she led me to believe was hers and it was not. Long story short he came with health issues and continues to have them and my boy who wasnt supposed to get to 5lb is a whopping 10 lb, or close to it. I dont know her personally, but I do know she lied to me.

First off the last dog who was found to have genetic abnormaities is 2.5 years old not six. The lady did not replace Dixie you did with another one of her dogs (a 9 pound female). I have NEVER dealt with the lady. Yes I got to keep Dixie and ALL of her Medical Expenses along with the rest of the dogs with ailments you sent me and you never once offered to take back, why would you? Thanks for the favor!! As far as not knowing what your dogs will produce...I went to you because of your YEARS of knowledge and experience You Led Me to believe I could trust that you knew your dogs. We have already covered this in emails and I can prove you not to be honest. Selling "Nice Pets to happy homes" is one thing, Selling dogs as breeders you can't stand behind is a whole nother issue and thats what you do. This hurts people beyond me.

I realize that this is really a late posting, but after several years away from YT, I came back with a new account. (new email address)

I was really impress with Natalie when I purchased our boy from her. She spent a lot of time with me on the phone, and I really trusted her. I realize now that I had a lot to learn, but I thought she had the nicest dogs, and was impressed with how clean all of 20-25 dogs running throughout the house were. We wanted a little male, and Natalie assured me that this puppy wouldn't get over 3 pounds. I was impressed by her stated policy to me that anyone that wasn't happy with one of her dogs she would purchase back. I picked up the little guy at about 12 weeks of age, and while he didn't look

as nice in person as he did over the pictures she emailed me, I happily paid her $2500. and went home.

At 4 months when he was already 3.5 pounds I was concerned and called. I was told that he wouldn't get any larger than that. Regardless, he was a loved part of our family, and his weight wasn't going to change that. What I didn't know when I purchased him was that Natalie wasn't the breeder. To make matters worse, AKC had problems with Natalie, and wouldn't register him. When he was over 5 pounds at about 6 months I again called and she couldn't have cared less by her attitude on the phone. All I got from her was that if I wasn't happy, I could ship him back to her at my cost on Northwest Airlines. As I said, he had long become a part of our family, and even if he hadn't I wouldn't send a little puppy on an airline. I just wanted her to acknowledge what she had done to us, and although I never asked, I thought she would have offered to maybe refund some of the 2500 since we didn't get what we were told we would have, and he wasn't going to be recognized by AKC.

This was several years ago. We still have Beau, and we eventually got things straight with AKC, but no thanks to Natalie. We now show Yorkies, but Beau is just the family pet. I have no doubt that Natalie loves her dogs, but don't kid yourself, they were a business to her first. I don't know circumstances now, but at that time I dealt with her, that was how she supported herself. What is the difference from going to a pet store?

I often talk to people interested in purchasing their own Yorkie not be be fooled by pretty pictures on a website. Many people are just not honest when they think

that they may make a sale. You are rolling the dice if you purchase without doing a lot of homework.

I am new to YorkieTalk but once I came across this discussion, wanted to tell of my experience with Natalie. I told her that I was looking for a very tiny male. She said she had one but when following his growth it appeared that he was getting too big too fast. She then told me that she had a 5 month old (she said it was a friends - but the paperwork had Natalies name on them) that was very tiny - 1.5 lbs. I asked why he hadn't been sold yet seeing as how he was already 5 months and she said that she was thinking of keeping him. When he arrived, he was so emaciated. I took him to the vet who confirmed that he was very malnurished. Needless to say he gained .5 a lb in two weeks. He also came with giardia which took 2 bouts of medication to get rid of. He also came with a cough, which to this date - 6 weeks later - still has. He had not been socialized because he is still afraid of people. So although there are very happy people out there with her puppies - I am not one of them and would never recommend this puppy mill to anyone.

Hello, this is my first post here. I wanted to say that I have dealt with Natalie a few years back when I was looking to buy a sweet tiny girl for a pet. She took a deposit from me for a pup that I decided on, and I told her the pup would not be bred, would be spayed, and did not have to be show quality, as I wanted her for a pet. The next time I contacted her to finalize things and pick a date and time to meet to pick her up, I was told she was selling MY PUP to someone else who offered her a lot more money for her! Previous to that, she had mentioned that she "wasn't in it for the money". I can't tell you how devastated I was. Yes her pups are gorgeous! But anyone who could do that to someone, well, what can I say, judge for yourself.

She did not develop a problem after 5 years, if you read my complaint she had health problems from the very beginning and was actually a replacement for the puppy that died before it ever got old enough to send, Cinderella.  My puppy came to me with problems and only lived to 5 because of my intense love and care for her.  She eventually had to be put to sleep due to her malformed spine and AAI at the end.

In fact, I just found another lady whose dog had to have expensive surgery and was told by Natalie that it was the first time she had ever heard of this problem with her linage.  I contacted Natalie years ago, another puppy she replaced years before for the same reason.  Veterinarians dont lie, bad breeders do.

Here are comments about Natalie's breeding practices that you won't find on her site because she deletes her negative reviews:

Natalies Yorkies

AUTHOR: claudia - ()

First, in reading your post, I have to say I am always a bit confused when someone refuses to reveal their name. It is as though they are ashamed.

Second, as the owner of many yorkies from different breeders, no dog is warrantied for life. Most genetic problems show up in the first year or two at the most. Just as with humans, things happen. If we have a child that develops a health problem, we don't go back and try to blame the grandparents. At least logical people don't.

Some of my yorkies are less than perfect, so I take care of them.

Third, I used to go to yorkietalk looking for advice. I rarely posted because I was trying to learn. I have to say, I have deleted it from my browser. I have found so many false claims, vindictive comments, and utterly cruel things on that forum. Please do not trust what you see there.

Whatever health problem you pup has developed after five years, is sad. NO one wants that to happen, but it does. You just do the best you can to care for them.

Facts, not opinions

AUTHOR: Jane Doe - (U.S.A.)

I have facts, dates and reports.  Not just my own but of many others.

Natalie provides insults and projected feelings of mine.

I encourage everyone who reads this report to read the links and the facts and judge for yourself.   Also, I have exact details of other cases if you are considering purchasing from this breeder.  Please do yourself a favor and buy from someone else.  This breeder couldn't tell you anything about this dog because she sells so many of them that she doesn't know one from the other.  Heck, in her own rebuttal she couldn't accurately tell you how old my girl was.  Sad that they are so replaceable to her. You couldn't pay me to own another one of her animals and I declined any "discounted" ones she offered me.

I now have a wonderful 6 month old maltese to keep my 7 year old yorkie(who was not purchased from Natalie) company.  My past pets have all lived from 12-15 years.

As I've said many times, PLEASE read the facts about her breeding program and genetic problems as included in the links.  Facts are just that, facts...not opinions.

AUTHOR: Natalie''''s Little Yorkies - (USA)

People who condemn other people and make fun of other are people who do not want to take a good look at themselves. Or most likely it's what they are doing themselves. They live in a negative world with no happiness in there lives and missory loves company. I am sorry you are so unhappy  So Sad. I pray god will bring you much joy and happiness in your life.

Natalie is consistant only with lies.

AUTHOR: Jane Doe - (U.S.A.)

The dog was NOT 6, the dog did not fall of the couch.   Natalie shame on you!

It was genetic and my vet records prove it, not your word, which is worth nothing.

Natalie has had lots of bad genetics in her lines, this one included:

http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/breeder-vet-groomer-reviews/251717-natalies-wee-yorkies.html

Anyone can e-mail me, I have a whole list of unhappy customers with dogs/puppies that died way too young from her lines. HEALTH problems, not accidents. This was not an accident, it was bad breeding from a greedy person.

Hello I am Natalie and it is so sad when people have to blame other people for there mistakes. Laura's dog was 6yrs old and fell off her coach or bed. Dogs do not develope AAI lux at 6yrs old it is detected when  they are 5 to 6 months old. I am very sorry for your loss Laura. I guess if you have to blame someone for your loss it may as well be me.

I would be very happy to have anyone come to my home and inspect me and my yorkies.
