Back in November 6th 2010 I had purchased a case for my iPhone4 that was currently not available in USA. Made notice that the purchase was an internet company that was located in Hong Kong and thought nothing of it. The purchase amount was for $18.99 which includes shipping. This may not seem like a lot of money to be typing up a hour long report for but to me it is money hard earned and thrown away to unprofessional merchants and do not honor and respect my time and money.
After 9 days I did not here anything regarding my order so I emailed the company about my purchase. I am including the ONLY response from this Chinese company in Hong Kong, which was stating the obvious then no response since. The email reply was that they are out of stock and waiting for another batch to come through and will be sent. this was on 11/18/10 (12 days after the fact!) When I made the purchase it did NOT notify me that the product was out of stock as stated in the company's reply.
On 12/21/10, I wrote:
I am wondering what happen to my order that I had placed since Nov 6th??? When I 1st placed the order nothing about a back order was mentioned on the site nor the invoice receipt! I am now checking the website only to find the product I had ordered no longer exist. I would like to replace my order with Apple iPhone 4 back cover w/ carbon-fiber look backing for $13.99 It's mind boggling to me that your customer service rep would blame the mistake on the the customer from previous emails. Please fix this mistake!
I have all copies and receipts of everything mentioned. I actually wrote them another email before filing this report and will keep you posted. Although i expect no response.
Hello Skip Unfortunately the back covers are on backorder and as such, is delaying your shipment. Our website has a limitation where it can only show either "in stock" or "out of stock". The backorder was indicated at the time of checkout as well as in the scrolling notice at the top of the website. Due to the backlog, all customers are effectively placed on a wait list to receive the product. However, we are starting to restock this product, at which point we will be shipping out your purchase.
