This company called my home phone and asked for my 18 yo son by name. They then proceeded to pressure him into buying an extended warranty on what turned out to be my car. He wasn't even sure what he bought as he told me "mom I think I accidently insured your car". I called the company to have the warranty cancelled and his money refunded ($450) and they tried to convince me that I HAD to have this warranty. They claimed to have gotten my vehicle information from my insurance company and that I was going to lose coverage if I didn't purchase an extended warranty from them. I told them I didn't want it and that my son had no right to purchase coverage for my car. They cancelled the transaction only after discovering that my vehicle had too many miles for the product they sold my son. Then they tried to get me to buy another using the same scare tactics. I didn't give in and called my insurance company after. My auto insurance company assured me that they had no affiliation with National Auto Division and that they did not release customer information to other parties. Nat'l Auto Division most likely got my info from public databases with vehicle registration. Even so, my son is not listed as a registered vehicle owner, only as a driver. Also the mileage info they had was from when I bought the car, not what my current mileage is. I have registered a complaint with my state's AG although unless enough people make the same complaint they cannot take legal action. I have no legal recourse since they refunded the money. BEWARE this company, they use unethical sales practices. Their statment regarding my insurance company was blatently false.

This company now has a fast busy signal on all of its phones and even an affiliate, unbeknownst to them before I I called, could not contact National Auto Division at its NJ or 800 number. I wonder if they went out of business within the last few days?

Just to clarify, I am the CFO and Operations Manager of AAS, and we do not sell contracts. If the customer has any issue with the sale, they need to make sure they are complaining about the right company. We have nothing to do with that.
