National Car Rental Rude Degrading Sterling , Virginia

I will start by stating that although this is not a typical rip-off I do feel that I needed to post this since National Car Rental has refused to respond to my complaint.
I had rented a car from National at Dulles Airport and was returning the car to the same airport. I have approx 200 rental days a year so I am not naive to the car rental process. The attendant came to the car and while I was packing up my GPS, he checked the fuel and mileage.
I finished packing my belongings and looked around to find the attendant to get a copy of my receipt. I saw that he was checking in the guy who pulled in after me. I stood and watched as the attendant printed both of our receipts and handed the guy behind me his receipt.
The attendant then walked over to me and crumpled my receipt into a ball and threw it at me. I was speechless. I told him (actually rather nicely and it surprised even me how nice I was) that I needed a copy that was not crumpled. He replied "No it will do".
Now my voice started to get a little louder. The supervisor came over and asked what the problem was. I told her what happened and showed her the receipt. She said "he can print a new one". I explained that he was refusing to do that. She then told me to get on the shuttle to the terminal and she would print a new receipt. Then both the supervisor and the shuttle driver told me that it was not the attendant's fault because English was not his first language and he was from Africa.
I do not know of anywhere where this would not be considered rude. I contacted National and they stated they would have someone contact me to discuss this issue but it has been 3 weeks and I have not heard from National.
