National City Bank promises no atm fees. It turns out that only applies to rich people who, for obvious reasons, don't need to be reimbursed for atm fees. This is to get you in the door. Once you do, be prepared to have them sit on your deposits for weeks at a time. You cannot touch your money in any way shape or form.

Most of us living from paycheck to paycheck cannot do this and National City will do NOTHING to help you except take most of your money with ridiculous, unjustified "fees". This bank is running a scam and I would like to see them run out of business. Not only do they go out of their way to find ways to charge you these fees, but they charge the maximum amounts including $34 for "overdrafts" even when there is money in your account and $8 a day for each day the account is "overdrawn".

I didn't know they were not going to let me access my money and when I sent out checks to pay my bills they bounced every one of them even though there was money in the account. Then they charged me hundreds of dollars in overdraft fees not to mention the fees I incurred from the checks they refused to cover because they decided my funds were not available. If you don't like having your money stolen, do not bank here.

AUTHOR: I Am The Law - (U.S.A.)

If this is a new account, the explanation for the long hold time on deposits is because for new accounts, Uncle Sam wants that info. That should pass in time.
