I have been playing online sports for years, in various paid leagues. I have won many online fantasy leagues, enough to know that something with this fantasy website is not right. First let me say, i have no actual proof of this, and i am sure many of you would agree that it would be very hard to prove. But i am hoping that by reading this you will be more cautious and alert about how your fantasy leagues are being run, and by who.

I have done the $500 paid leagues in football, basketball, and baseball for 3 years. One thing i noticed is that every years draft there would be 3 to 4 teams, sometimes more that would not show up for the draft and i found it very odd that after paying $500 that so many owners would forget or be unable to show. Do you really want your $500 team to be picked by the auto. This was a yearly accurance. Also it seemed everyone that did show up for the draft are the only ones that ever messaged there leagues on the message board. There were also alot of wierd names for the owners of the no show teams (draft), and there emails and avatars were always blank. The biggest thing that bothered me was that 2 years in a row i went all in bidding over 400 points for a player and would be outbid by 5-10 points, and noticed alot of the other everyday owners were also being barely outbid for players they really needed.

Of course the biggest one is that every years winners were always these no show, never heard from owners which i find very suspicious. Now it could be coincedence, but there comes a point where coincedence turns into being taken for a fool. keep this in mind, and monitor your leagues closely and see if the same accurances are happening in your leagues. good luck

I Agree be very careful!

AUTHOR: Cool Todd - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, January 08, 2012

I have played a few years in the NFBC and one year on fanball and one year on fantrax.  I agree be careful with any of these sites, you have no idea where your hard earned money is going.  Stick to the leagues where you know the people, know exactly what's going on and can trust the numbers, rules, pickups etc.  The thing that makes me very suspicious is the same guy won the grand prize two out of three years, over $200,000 each time.  Apparently he beat out over 300 (could be over 500 I'm sure even more than that) fantasy players each time. His team was awful, not even good much less great and $200,000 worthy.  Now, in the football league the money has doubled to get in, you can't even get in for $500.00 anymore, but then what they say when you say that's too much money is "Well the overall winnings are going up also."  Yeah right back in your pockets!  Be careful!

"she sounds HOT"

AUTHOR: Patrick - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, September 30, 2011

i must agree with emie, how very insitefull she is. i bet she is one HOT babe to. clearly this whole report is based on an OPINION. more of a what to watch out for if you are a online gambling junkey. Anyone that takes this report  as anything but a warning must just have something against the author.

i sense a bit of foul play here or an over effort to lean one way or the other. this report was very cautious not to officially accuse anyone or claim to have proof. i also think that the lawyer's view was simply to expand on the possibility which is why it states "this is possible" also nothing that makes any claims or names any names. this topic is more of a blog argument than anything else. i don't see how it really matters one way or the other.

let's be honest, is this report gonna totally shut down online fantasy sports. NO WAY. Gamblers are gonna gamble and ego's will always prevail. My guess is emie has the hots for the author. he does sound like a very interesting individual, but hardly worth all this effort that amounts to a laughable NOTHING! haha!

how about focusing your time on world peace, or better yet, your OWN LIFE and stop obsessing about other peoples opinions and views. This is america, freedom of speech and all that good stuff. sounds like a joe move to me.......:)

You prosecuted a case?

AUTHOR: EmieSnee - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, September 29, 2011

You are saying you prosecuted a case for a $100 fantasy football league where the owner had 4 teams and pocketed $800? What court was that filed in exactly? The court that exists only in your mind...

You filed the original complaint, then you responded to it yourself under another name. You expect people to think you are a lawyer when you cannot spell or punctuate? You misspell the same words and don't capitalize your I's.

The NFFC has zero employees or affiliates playing in their leagues. Anyone with an ounce of common sense can see that controlling 4 $100 teams in a league has just as much of a chance of losing $400.

Please post the case that you "prosecuted" or one shred of evidence against NFFC, name one single player affiliated with them that plays in their leagues. There is no trading allowed, Manipulating waiver bids gives you like a .0000003% advantage. Ask the idiot who bid on Brandon Lafell this week if he minds if someone outbid him...They can't control players on the field, they would never risk losing their business by trying to squeak out a few dollars by spending umpteen hours on fantasy football when running a reputable contest nets them the exact same amount.

Anyone who sees cheating in these contests are simply consistent losers who need excuses as to why they lost their money. Guess what, there is skill, and you have none.

this report is possible

AUTHOR: pornostar - (United States of America)

The same scam was being used on fanball.com which was run by one of the same guys running national fantasy sports. There was also several ads on there site for another fantasy league claiming to pay 1 million dollars to the overall winner with only a 60 entry fee. couple years later it folded, obviously. Here is the thing, there high priced in person drafts are all on the level, but 1 person atleast will be affiliated with them and enter the contest just to give them a shot at winning it all. Technically this is not illegal, for you see there are no real laws regulating online fantasy sports. Online gambling yes, but fantasy sports falls short of the gambling mark and is being accepted as something different. So for that reason there really is no laws saying that they can not enter there own teams in the contest, and your entry will naturally be about odds, say 5 real teams vs 5-7 ghost teams. same odds as online gambling, but like i said, for now it has skidded by without being in that category. I have experience in this area from prosecuting a similar case involving co workers at a company that all paid 100 dollars to enter into a fantasy pool, but the person running it had 4 of there own teams, won and pocketed $800. This is done alot. Basically all the online paid leagues over $100 are probably doing the same thing, half real teams and half ghost teams and of course the bidding for free agent aquisitions will always be them first, you 2nd.

I checked out there website myself, and find it very very odd that they have no terms of conditions, or legal literature posted when you click on those links. Odds are they are having there lawyers work on some very creative terms of use that say something like there is no guarantee every team spot will be filled in your league etc, etc. I do not want to tell them how to do it obviously.

Bottom line here is the only way to take them down would be a federal raid and then years of litigation and stall tactics only for them to claim bankruptcy in the end if they lost, which like i said, the odds are still in there favor until actual laws governing online fantasy waging are introduced, but dont worry, it is coming.

you accuse them of cheating but then say you have no proof, or it would be hard to prove.  In other words this complaint is more of an opinion wether than an allegation. therefore it should be taken as such, be carefull what you do online with your money, message recieved.
