SEO Reputation Management at its best!

I was called by a very nice man and I received a follow up call from a very nice "manager". Boy, was I a sucker! Don't be fooled, too.

I am looking for a "work from home" opportunity and thought this would be a good one since they told me they were listed with the BBB and had been in business since 1989. They are listed with the BBB and apparantly they do have a corporate headquarters.

I paid my $69.00 "refundable deposit" and dove in. After over 100 hours of work calling people, who in some cases had been called 5 or 6 times prior to me even getting their number, I had not made a dime. I voiced my concerns to my "manager" and was told "oh it takes a couple of weeks to get things in the pipeline" and "give it some time, you are still new."

I have wasted a lot of valuable time and $69.00. I am sure many others have too. Please don't do it. Learn a lesson without the expense. I have not gotten my deposit back and I am sure I won't. I believe that the "deposits" is their business, not discount perscription cards. The "refundable deposits" collected by their recruiters paid by credit card, money order, and debit card (Notice no checks, they can have a stop payment issued!) are very lucritive.

Contests The managers in the Lead Departments

AUTHOR: Ex- - (U.S.A.)

Deborah,

The managers in the Lead Departments pay for the contests themselves. If they stated no one qualified, it is most likely due to zero managers putting money into the pool. Since they aren't making any money right now, they can't afford to fund it.

#2 UPDATE Employee

More confused than ever.

AUTHOR: Deborah - (U.S.A.)

I don't know what brought me to the web page to begin with, but the comments that I have read about nhcd good and bad has confused me more than ever.

I too paid 19.95 to start up. I worked through Christmas and into the 2nd week of Janruary. I thought things were going ok up until they told everyone that they were taking out the leads dept all together.

We had 2 choices. To go to recruiting or sales. I opted for sales. No one told me that if a sale cancelled within the 90 day guarentee that I would lose some of the money I generated for that sale!

That is when I decided I had had enough. On February 1, I emailed and cled my sales manager and told her that I would no longer be working for nhcd, that to please make sure my card was not charged for the next month. I asked her to call me and she did not return my call. All I got in return was not even from her, it was from payroll responding to my managers email. My manager just forwarded it to me.

The payroll dept had emailed my manager stating that I would need to submit in writing my cancellation. I am smart enough to know that by the time I sent out the letter, nhcd would have taken money from my card anyway.

I called my bank and cancelled my card so to insure that nhcd would not take any more money from me.

The very next morning I get a phone call from a lady saying that they were making a special project in leads and would I like to come back to leads?

I thought about it and called this lady back and told her my curcumstances and she got it okd for me to come back. Well, I have been working back in leads. Again, I thought I was ok, and then for last Saturday contest it was for 4 leads and I would qualify for the contest. Well, I called over 450 dials and made the 4 leads.

Later in the week, we got the results of the weekend contest, they stated that no one had generated 4 leads. This was not true. I along with 2 other people had generated 4 or more leads that weekend. So I called my manager and asked her to explain. She emailed me back stating that one of the reps had a lead that came back because the customer had insurance.

I called my manager again, and left a message stating that there was still 2 of us that qualified for this contest. NO response at all. To this day no one that I know of won that contest. This is not right.

On top of everything else, I get an email from my manager about an auto dialer they want to give us for 3 months to try for free. I just let it sit in my email not knowing what to do about that. Then over this last weekend my manager calls me and asks me if I want to try this dialer. I said I would.

I haven't thought nothing of it until today when I ended up on this website reading about nhcd. Now I am more confused than ever. My heart says get out!

I don't know what to do. nhcd does not have my new debit card number and I don't want to be responsible for this auto dialer at the end of the 3 months trial period!

gimme a break... EVERYTHING negative that is posted about NHCD on this site is so true it's not even funny

AUTHOR: Melissa - (U.S.A.)

EVERYTHING...and I mean EVERYTHING negative that is posted about NHCD on this site is so true it's not even funny. Here's a few things you can look forward to when working with them. Stay away everyone..if only I had listened when I was warned

Pay them $19.95 for a "security deposit" that you will get back after you have gone through 100 presentations (which is hilarious because you are calling people from as far back as 2001 and then some)

Pay $18.95 for the access code...great deal huh? Right..try canceling it. There are people that are waiting for NHCD to stop taking money from their accounts who have sent in their letter to cancel their access code over 6 months ago. How convenient that nobody at the "main office" has received it and continues to draft the money from their account. Also interesting isn't it..that they can take your money by phone but you have to submit a request to cancel in writing and wait for them to actually decide when they will stop charging you.

You are told that you are calling people who have shown an interest in the plan. oh yeah..they showed an interest in the plan 2-3 years ago. Good luck selling that.

You can look forward to the occasional bounced checks...oh and chargebacks. They don't mention that in your training packet. You can sell, sell, sell, hire, hire, hire...but if anyone that you sell to decides to cancel the plan during their "trial period" you get charged back..so you can actual have paychecks that are minus money.
These are only some of the "perks" that you get when working with this scam of a company.

Get over it

AUTHOR: Kay - (U.S.A.)

Seems it is just the same few people with no lives nor abition other than to spread lies and mis truths. You are so far away from the truth and wrong it is funny. I currently am no longer working with NHCD, however enjoyed 2 years of great income. I recently quit because I don't need income, myself and my husband have retired and have better things to do with our lives than to work. We are the privlaged baby boomers. As far as people working and not receiving pay for thier work, this is BOLOGNA! My daughter in law still works for NHCD and does very well. The same 4 people post replies to every post here. They do it because they are bitter, lonely people who obviously want others to join their bandwagon. If you are reading these post, don't make an asumption that everything you see here is truth. Truth be told NHCD offers jobs, yes they are commision based jobs and yes they do require that you work. It's an easy job, with awesome staff support and the benefits of being able to work from home. There may be other jobs on the internet where you don't have to pay for your own long distance usage, however they require you buy leads, or software, or buy in to the company as they are MLM companies. Bottom line: If you work, you get paid. People who are looking for a real work at home job, can speak from your own experience , don't rely on post on this site to help you make up your mind. If you have a phone, internet and a clear speaking voice, this job is gravy!
Enjoy and make up your own mind.
Ta Ta, will wait for the usual 4 people to respond with the usual bla bla bla!

FYI Herman Wilms is not an alias for Grant Wilms

AUTHOR: X - (U.S.A.)

Herman Wilms is not an alias for Grant Wilms. Herman is Grant's father that works along side Grant.

The company does have a fairly good record with the BBB in Kansas because any complaints that are filed with them are handled immediately by NHCD. If you call the BBB in other states you will find numerous complaints and wrong doings that this company has done.

To the person that stated they have been working with the company since May and has made a little over $500 dollars. That amount of pay might be good for someone who wants spending money but no one can live on that over a 9 month period.

Take it from someone who knows, GET OUT NOW!!! There are legitmate work at home positions and it does not cost anything to work for them.

#11 UPDATE Employee

I've been very pleased

AUTHOR: Denise - (U.S.A.)

I'm sorry, Marti, that your experience was not a good one. I am surprised. I have been working for NHCD since May 19 and have earned $551.40 to date. I have received my checks every Monday, even with the 4th of July holiday. I received my $69 refundable phone security deposit back at my 6th week of work, the week after I asked for it to be refunded to me. My dh also works for the company and all has been well on his end, also.

I have enjoyed the business and been very pleased with the company. It is not a get rich quick or a get rich at all. But it has been a great supplemental income for our family and I can stay home with my children.

#12 Consumer Suggestion

North Carolina State Dist. Att: 252-514-4703 & more contact info

AUTHOR: Jacqueline - (U.S.A.)

First, if you paid with a credit card and not a money order, you need to call your credit card company, and have them blocked or just change your number, as if it were stolen. If they're this dirty, maybe they'll try to get more money out of you.

Again, the North Carolina State/District Attorney phone is: 252-514-4703 at: 308 Broad Street, New Bern, North Carolina, 28560 They can, at the least direct, you to the necessary Regional contacts who can help you to either collect a refund or provide information to prevent others from going through the same thing, in your State.

There are four other branches of this corporation, but I will give you information connected to the one you mentioned. The toll free number you listed was consistent in all records, and I have another one: 1-800-549-6610. Here are some web site addresses: www.themedicinecounter.com, www.nhed.net (sounds like your guys), and stayhomegetpaid.com. You never know, one way or another you might get a refund from somewhere.

The Principal (your boss) is: Hermen Wilms (this is not a typo for Williams) alias Grant Wilms, email is: Grantwilms@aol.com. He also has an organization address listed under: Grant Wilms, 14060 Hayes, Overland Park, KS, 66221. This address is also connect to the AOL personal email address. Businesses hide behind personal emails, because they can block and have much tighter security. This business started January 1968, so they've been around the block. An alias name your should know about is: Medicine Counter.

The email info is available at www.register.com and through Network Solutions. It is not supposed to be used for "Spam Harvesting" blah-blah-blah, I have to say this for legal reasons.

Additional phone numbers: FAX: 520-447-1480, phone: 913-345-2445 I have not tried any of these numbers or this contact information.

They work in several areas of insurance services. This is according to www.kansascity.bbb.org. You can go there and access the report yourself. They are also BBB members. Guess no one complains about them or does not fill out complaint forms. (hint-hint) They can buy their way into the BBB anyway, but those complaint forms get posted.

You also need to look into licensing information. For the nature of this business it IS required both for you, and for them. You might get more info on them. If they do not have proper licensing, they need to be shut down, and you don't want to fall into any jail cell with them. Your State may also want YOU to have a license to work at home and in the insurance industry, as well.

Review ALL of your banking information, and do not give them any more account info. I would also recommend writing a formal letter of resignation, with a demand for a refund. Insure that letter, and make them sign for it, so that you are not held liable for their actions. Some post offices do not want to insure letters, this is more common for packages, but you can at least try.

Insurance related businesses operate under a lot of licensing, regulations, and legal requirements, which vary through States, townships, and municipalities. Please be careful in your dealings with them.

Hope this helps.
