It all started Saturday 10/20/07 when i received a phone call from a heavily accented man who claimed to be from the Grant Department and that my phone number was selected among 900 numbers to receive 3600 in grant money. I to fell victim to this scandal by giving information that should of been kept secret. So on 10/24/07 there was a fee of 29.95 taken from my account and still no grant money to show for it. I contacted the 866-407-1029 number that was on my statement and told them I wanted to cancel because I didn't even know who the company was. She told me to wait for a welcome packet(which still has not arrived), sign the welcome letter and send a feedback back to the company to receive my refund. I had to this before the 5th of November though. She also told me to wait 24-48 hours to settle my dispute with the company and check the status of my cancellation. On 10/26/07 I contacted the customer service line again and was told I was ineligible to receive my refund because I had voice authorized the program. A voice authorization is not the same as a signed document so it wasn't legal either way. I told her I will contact whomever i need to in order to receive my refund. I asked her for a name from the corporate office and she gave me "Julie Jones". When I asked for a number, she said that the 866-407-1029 was the only number. I called back an hour later and told her i needed the address of the company along with all the names of the corporate office. She asked me why and I told her my lawyer wants this information for pursuit in the matter, as well as the Attorney Generals for FL and NJ .She immediately put me on hold and later came back to say the corporate office as decided to refund my money. They will send me a refund form that must be signed and once received they will send me a check for that amount. Skeptical still, I told her if the money can leave me account that fast, it can be put back in just as fast. However I dont want to give them anymore access to anything. So needless to say we shall see if this form shows up. I have contacted the Attorney Generals for FL and New Jersey as well as filed a complaint with the BBB, FTC, my local bank and the USAF Legal Office here in town. I will update again next week to let everyone know what the outcome will be.

I'm from Kansas City, and I was scammed by the same company and on the same day. I think justice needed to be done on these people, and I see they keep going at it with this kind of business. I also have file a FTC report to the government. Please let me know of your outcome.
