National Home Loan Assistance Program - NHLAP And bestlowratesonline.com took $2000 for a home loan modification, the contract states I get my money back if the modification gets denied. It got denied. Now, nobody will call me back about my refund (three weeks now). Receptionist claims not to know extension of the Accounting dept. They have breeched their contract! BEWARE!!! thieves are! We have already filed police reports for breaking and
entering into the building.(swipe card access logs from the building
manager as proof) A report with the US Postal Inspector has been
filed as well. All of the bank statements have been magically
disappearing! First Bank is fully aware of all of this and are
investigating our case as well/ Before i start i also want everyone
to know that some of the reports filed on this site are not true! How
do i know this? it's pretty simple. We had the real clients email,
phone numbers and contact info. Some of the email addresses do not
match our files at all! In the report she mentioned she called every
single day and got no answer....well, we pulled our phone
records,matched them with the REAL CLIENTS cell and home # and they
were only on there a few times! And sadly to say the very first
report, that started all of this was most likely written buy a very
jealous, unhappy,bitter,and ungrateful woman, not a client at all!
Now down to the REAL THIEVES....Starting with the Minnesota Crew,
Jessie Leeb ( Leeb Financial), Mark Krieseal, Mark Walsh (Walsh
Street financial) and Kevin Medeiros all saw an opportunity to learn
from the best and make money,GREED got the best of them and they were
all caught stealing from the company. Jesse Leeb and his wife Michelle
(he is supposed to be part owner or partner of NHLAP) set up a hidden
account in Minnesota withholding $15,000 with NHLAP's name on it even.
Mr. Sarver has already sued them, they all have judgements against
them right now! He has done everything in his power to fight off these
malitious attacks, all leagally and proffetionally.

mitigation team to update us on their file and oh yea! u got it! the
whole mitigation team is in on it too! Ashley Ronning, (is from
MINNESOTA!) Ria Bobadilla (The manager)and Carolina Diaz. They pretty
much were running a business under us and we were doing all the work.

The sheer ignorance of this company's rebuttal should make all of you laugh! Their rebuttal is so pathetic, and inaccurate, they are practically validating what I am saying!

The only "references" we have ever seen has been on their web site. LOL! While claiming to have helped "hundreds," there are several on this web site that have a different story to tell. Ironically, we all say the same thing about NHLAP. We all come from different areas of the country, and yet we are the ones who are lying?? Please!

The fact that NHLAP plasters names of their former clients on Rip off Reports when they have not confirmed their identity would raise concerns about their professionalism.

They post a piece of an email as evidence to their claims! LOL! That email was likely inquiring about a promised refund. It proves nothing.
Claiming that "Heather" didn't cooperate, in an effort to save money by dealing with her own lender is hilarious! NHLAP just told all potential clients they can save money by dealing with their own lender! That statement is inaccurate in this case. Lenders do not deal with people who aren't even on the loan. "Heather" was not a borrower in this case. Normally I would not recommend dealing directly with your lender, but the NHLAP has a poor record (at least according to those on this web site) even calling their own clients back! Why would they call the client's lender? Supposedly you void your contract if you speak with your lender. What is to stop them from taking your money, and never speaking to your lender again? They clearly do not give the refunds that are promised in the contract. And for the record: we never contacted our lender until we received a letter (from our lender) stating that the modification was denied! We then requested a refund. We do not give second chances when it comes to trying to save our home. One botched modification is enough!

My advice: Look into this company before you give them access to your personal information, or your money. Don't take our word for it. Beyond the several other ripped off people you can read about, research them for yourself. If this company were an honest entity, they would welcome the investigation. Google the employee names mentioned, and the ones whom you are dealing with. You will find judgments on at least one of the mentioned. Find out what the requirements are to become a member of the "U.S. Chamber of Commerce". Is that the best reference they can come up with?

Furthermore, it is only "slander" if it is not true. They should be careful what they wish for in reference to the "Superior Court" threat. The families in dispute with them are all likely to go bankrupt, meaning they have nothing left to lose (in part thanks to NHLAP). What on Earth would they sue for? LOL!

Oh, and they brag about suing one of their partners! Classy! This gets better and better! Suing Leeb financial is supposed to put their client's at ease?

NHLAP should be embarrassed to display such a poorly written rebuttal. Outside of displaying poor conclusions and lies, the author should go back to school! Just look at this quote from the rebuttal: "It seems that Heather likes to slander an attack NHLAP while the email below from her husband and other documents to support that there is another agenda going on and will be litigated in San Diego Superior Court." LOL! Go back to school, and learn how to write NHLAP!

Take your own advice NHLAP "govern yourself accordingly." If you had anything of real merit to bring to court, you would not put it on line for everyone to see! What a joke!

The title of their pathetic rebuttal suggested that we are unemployed. That is a lie. They may be unemployed if congress passes a bill to help the homeowners. Perhaps that is why they are so desperate!

As far as honesty goes, we have been nothing but honest. We were trusting because we are honest people. Don't make that mistake.

I have nothing to gain by telling my story on this web site. I am not going to get a refund unless I sue, and I could certainly do that with out airing my story. I only write this to keep other homeowners in our situation from getting ripped off. Best of investigating to ya!

According to the loan modification software developed for NHLAP, accurate and detailed customer service records are kept for a period of two years. These records represent all in-bound and outbound correspondence in writing including telephone conversations.
Because of these records, we are able to determine that The Hxxxxxs are incorrect and misleading in many of their reported statements.

In October of 2008 the Hxxxxxs case was initiate processed and handled by (now defunct ) Leeb Financial NHLAP of Minnesota. After seeking immediate resolution for the pending foreclosure, it is our opinion that the quickest way out for the Hxxxxxxs was to proceed with not cooperating and then requesting a refund. The San Diego office took over the case at the middle of November of 2008 and has since file suit against Leeb Financial NHLAP of Minnesota on Dec 24. At such time, the Hxxxxxxs were unwilling to cooperate despite attempts to complete their file.

The Hxxxxxxs attempt to dissuade homeowners from seeking assistance with NHLAP due to their present circumstances is completely without merit. Hundreds of homeowners have reached a satisfactory resolution every week with their lender after working with NHLAP. Furthermore, their remarks to discredit Dawn Scott are unjustified and inaccurate. Dawn handled their case within the guidelines established to gather the financial information required in order to submit the loan for modification. In addition, the Hxxxxxxxs were supported with complete disclosure and references prior to submitting their case for review. It was their choice to proceed with a loan servicing company in the beginning to stop the impending foreclosure and when they thought they found a way to work directly with their lender, (who at first refused for a period of five months per customer service records of Heather) it was then they wanted a refund.
It seems that Heather likes to slander an attack NHLAP while the email below from her husband and other documents to support that there is another agenda going on and will be litigated in San Diego Superior Court.

I see there are many of us out there...Who knows how many more there could be? I want all of you to do as I did. We need to help other trusting people like ourselves. 1) Ca. Attorney General's Office ( he can't file suit just for us, but he can file suit, and he can many times get consumers their money back.)
2)Better Business Bureau (they will display a negative rating, weather they are part of the BBB or not, thus hurting their business.)
3)Federal Trade Commission (they can enforce laws that protect consumers.)
4)Any and all consumer advocates that you can find
5)The Wyoming Secretary of State (this is where they got their "incorporation" it says they are in "good standing." Not for long!
I found out who the ring leaders of this operation are, and I will bring them into the light as well.

It makes sense, since the person who lied repeatedly, even telling me that they were a "not for profit" company, that they were recommended on Larry King Live, and that they received funding, named herself as Dawn Sarver Scott. Now the coward refuses to pick up her phone!!

I thought this because they plastered your stuff all over the front page of their web site, and it appeared to me anyways, that it was the same business with different web addresses.

The guy from best low rates has actually been in communication with me after an email I mistakenly sent to him. He has been very nice and offered to tell NHLAP that I would like them to contact me. Unfortunately, I have still not heard from the NHLAP yet. They still have my money. Even though we have told them by email that we no longer wish for them to represent us, and they responded on (December 28th), indicating that they understood this. They are still contacting our lender "on our behalf." They indicated that they wanted one more chance to make the modification happen, but we refused. We had lost all trust in them, due to their lack of communication with us, and their failure to get it done the first time. SCARY! I will keep everyone updated through this process.
Let me be clear, there is no reason to think that best low rates on line has anything to do with this. I've been told, that they never touched my file. I would however, make sure that NHLAP does not have anything to do with any of your information or your money.

I am updating my complaint: (1/6/09)- I filed a complaint with the California Attorney General's office. 1/7/09- I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. After their investigations, and reviewing my complaints, I am confident that they will find my claims are true. I think the BBB will post their findings on their web site for you to view. If you are considering using this company, I advise you to search them on the BBB web site. Their rating is a C- (before looking into my complaint). I did not view this site before using this company. Do your HOMEWORK! I am sorry that I did not do mine well enough!

Also, on my original report, it states that my husband "deals fraud," when it was supposed to say that he deals with "investigating and resolving fraud." I guess I was so upset yesterday that I failed to proof read this.
